🚀 I guess it could be feasible, I’m not one to deny,
But I don’t care to think of life and living in the sky…
I’m happy in my BLISS down here, the Earth beneath my feet,
I like it where there’s country roads and pavement in the streets…
But looking at these faces, so young and full of glee,
Perhaps they GLOAT for what they have…these free falling TVs…
But would their skin stay CREAMY? Space does affect the pores,
And Zero Gravity might call the need to SPLINT fissures…
The bottom line is I’m content with this of God’s creations,
So even if I had a chance, I’ll pass on these SPACE STATIONS 🚀

Once again today, our words are all Sweet Repeats. While BLISS seems to have been seen only once before, in 2016, GLOAT makes its 10th appearance today, last in use 5 weeks ago on December 7th. CREAMY dates back to 2014, and only SPLINT caused a bit of a pause…but nothing to go FAR OUT on a limb about…

ORBIT…Finding ourselves aboard a Spaceship, we see four young people, pre-teens perhaps, drifting around watching TV. With “2001 A Space Odyssey” https://tinyurl.com/y7puqxub playing on screen, the dialogue is telling us that some of the group would rather be watching Cartoons, (on the COMET-y Channel perhaps)? or a game on another STATION. Hmm… In SPACE?  Need I say more? In answer to our question? One day people will be watching TV on…SPACE STATIONS! Good one, David! ME? TEOR to know by now how much I love your work!

Ok, eye candy. Earth can be seen as a blue orb outside the darkened window. Some controls are seen on the panel above the TV screen. With the Apes and the Monolith (a curve though)? showing, the scene playing looks to be the “Dawn of Man” segment https://tinyurl.com/ybkzgapt from the “Classic Kubrick” movie as the young boy at left is heard referring to it. Between him and the girl farthest left, is a floating blue bottled drink with a straw extended. Above said girl, a gray remote control is afloat. The “Kubrick” boy is eating a chocolate chip cookie. And the boy farthest right is holding what seems to be a sheet of yellow legal pad paper. (TV Guide)? All four of our floaters are dressed in shades of blue and black…Once again, Jeff’s great little details are OUT OF THIS WORLD. My pick? The Monolith…The curve? SIRIUSly?   1. Good morning. Another feather in the bonnet. At this rate I might be a chief someday. I sat down at the kitchen table without breakfast or coffee and went straight to the paper. By the time the news was over the jumble was solved. A stop now and then for some news worthy facts and looking up who Kubrick was. The words were not that hard and the 13 letter jumble answer was fairly easy. After putting the letters down I noticed Space and Stations followed shortly after. Angela,nice use of the words poem and puns. Your three videos were a pleasure and enjoyable to watch. A nice start to the day. Until tomorrow stay well.

And I thought about it too…But did you notice how many movies he was involved with that I’m sure you’ve seen, but just never realized? And yes, I agree. SPACE was a given, and the rest just fell into SPACE..I mean place! 😂 It was definitely an easy go. Thanks for the Shout Outs, and I’m glad you enjoyed my little “news worthy facts”.   2. After having the SPLINT removed from his mended leg and CREAMY lotion applied thereon, the athlete proceeded to GLOAT about the sense of BLISS he was feeling.

      He couldn’t help GLOAT…as he slowly walked home…
      And as soon as this SPLINT is removed from his wrist…

  4. Hi all – Just happened to try the SP which showed SPLINT, and then put the Y at the end (as always) and saw CREAMERY and then the word.
    First thought the second word of the answer would be SATELLITE and therefore about satellite TV, but when that didn’t work, the correct answer appeared.

    The monolith is curved because the screen is built into the curved wall of the space station – note the curvature of the two windows above the screen, also. They must have one of those new-fangled curved OLED screens! I’m guessing that it looks right from their viewing perspective; there are even curved screens now, but they’re curved from side to side, not top to bottom. (Or I’m just completely over-thinking things here, ya think?)

  5. I had the 4 words fairly easily,but was looking for cable TV or ” dish” TV for the solution,before stumbling upon space stations.BTW I am still away getting snowed in at Naperville Illinois.

    • Hi Professor. You know I thought of you, because you’re not going to have an online puzzle when you’re away now. How’d you get to it today? I just looked and the Post Star still hasn’t printed today’s. .😥 And if I’m not mistaken, the other site that I may have given you, the Seattle Times one, (the interactive one in color), doesn’t print our version on Sunday’s. They go with the vintage 4-word puzzle, which I think most online sites do. I don’t know what type of device you use, but if it’s an Apple product, you may have a tough time because Apple doesn’t support Adobe Flash. I have only iPads and iPhones here, as do my friends. I may have a problem with tomorrow’s eye candy. I’m so bummed with the Post Stars’ decision…I know Mike had asked the other day, but I’m asking again…If anyone out there in our reading audience knows of any online site that prints the Jumble early in the morning, please let us know….Anyway…..Snowed in? Poor Baby! How bad is it? I think we here in the city limits of NY should be spared, but I’m prepared to hunker down if need be…I’m glad you stuck with it long enough to see SPACE, Prof, because you’re right..the words were pretty easily solved, but without making that Space and/or Stations (from channels) connection, you’d be up the creek without a paddel! 2 of my friends this morning tossed in the towel on the solve….personally, I thought SPACE was a given, and it was clear sailing from there…Keep in touch with your situation there, and stay safe. I hope despite the cabin fever, that you’re enjoying your day….And I hope your son’s faring well. He’s in my prayers…🙋🏻

      • After not being able to find the jumble on your site,I typed in daily Jumble on my IPad and stumbled upon the Arkansas Democrat Gazette,which has the puzzle.Thanks for your thoughts and prayers regarding my son and his fellow gov workers.

        • Yes, it’s still not up on our usual site. It may not be on weekends anymore. Tks for the info, I’ll try that tomorrow if need be. Or I’ll just put the words up, and forego the “eye candy” …And you’re very welcome. My heart goes out to all the Gov’t workers, especially your son. it’s a disgrace, IMO, and I pray it’s resolved soon. Hang in there, Prof. 🙏🏻🙋🏻

If the Arkansas paper doesn’t print our 6-word puzzle tomorrow, send me a post as soon as you realize it, BEFORE you read mine, and I’ll print out the scrambled words, the question and a description of the puzzle as best I can for you…Post it here on today’s page, I’ll still get the email. I think you’re an Early bird like me, and even though I don’t get my delivery at my usual 4:15-4:30 time on Sunday’s, it’s still here by 5:30. There’ll be no need for me to look on line for anything at 3 AM anymore! LOL! Hope you’re having a good night, Prof! 🙋🏻

    • Hey Prof….A follow-up ..I follow the Jumble on Facebook. It seems the Boston Globe has stopped printing it. I can’t understand how any publication can think that the puzzle doesn’t mean so much to so many…I read a slew of papers daily, and have no intention of giving up any of my paid subscriptions, but I do think I’d second guess it if they stopped printing the Jumble. I think the onslaught of numbered puzzles that have risen since Sudoku’s success has impacted publishers decisions, since there is only so much space. But I feel messing with an institution like the Jumble is dirty pool. And even though I look to the online site to pick up on Jeff’s hidden gems, I still keep every one of the printed Jumbles that I cut out of my paper..So if any of you (Globe readers especially) utilize Facebook, take a look at David and Jeff’s posting today. Today the Boston Globe…tomorrow it could be any of us! 🙋🏻
