  1. No real problems today. AUDIT took me a bit longer. Another very cute puzzle!
Wishing you, Angela, and all who celebrate a Merry Christmas. Supposed to have a little snow here today for a white one.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. Thank you, and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours! Yes, very cute, and clever too! It made me LOL! I heard about your possibly getting some snow. A dusting is perfect at Christmas…We have rain again..or should I say still. If this had been snow? We’d be buried 8 feet under! 😂 Have a wonderful day Caroline, and I hope Santa treats you well! 🎅🏻🙋🏻

    • Oops! Thank you. Typo..I’ve corrected it. Guess I’m not the one…”making a list, checking it twice”, huh? Funny thing is it didn’t affect the four letters needed for the solve! Thank God for small favors! Apologies, and again, thank you…Not everything good happens at 4AM! Wishing you a great day! 🎄🙋🏻

    • Flannel would be perfect for today! 😉 Glad you made it here, Professor, and a very Happy Christmas Eve to you and yours! Enjoy! 🎄🙋🏻

  2. I was thrown off by the word “exceed” because I have always spelled it “exceed” My dictionary also spells it as “exceed.” I cannot find the jumble spelling anywhere. What does it mean?

    • Hi Elaine. Sorry, it was a typo on my part, nothing to do with the Jumble creation…But luckily the same 4 letters were needed for the solve. If you notice, I corrected it above, Wishing you a great day, Enjoy! 🙋🏻

    • Good Morning, Betty! I wholeheartedly agree on both counts! Buona Natale to you and yours! 🎄🙋🏻

  3. Hi all – ALIVE took an extra look, and then FINALE took two. Got the answer because (ahem!) I remember “Fleas Cumpleaños” and “Fleece Navidad” from somewhere 😉😂

Hope your day is happy, everyone!
For some Christmas Eve spirit, I’ll just leave this link to a concert review by the East Bay Times’ excellent music critic. Brian Wilson brought his band including Al Jardine to Santa Rosa to perform The Beach Boys’ 1964 Christmas Album in its entirety live for the first time ever. The show included many other classics as well; just the set list is amazing. Some short excerpts are included.

    • G, you scared the h—out of me! I actually went back to look! And there’s no time to spare! Alive…Are you trying to kill me? I got one nerve left…and it’s stretched so tight, that I have sympathy for the one it snaps on! 😉 And yes, AHEM indeed😂! Have a good one, G! Enjoy! 🎄🙋🏻

      • OOPS! So sorry; I even saw VILE and then VILA and decided they were both wrong! 😂 Too early, too fast, didn’t check *my* list twice either! 😂

      • Save that concert link and look at it later when all the craziness dies down. I just went through the video clips, and it’s amazing.

  4. From the “Car Talk” guys’ webpage:

    Lame Joke: Holiday Edition
A man walks into a diner. The waitress comes over with some coffee and a menu. “What’ll it be?” she asks.
The man thinks it over for a bit and decides on eggs Benedict. “Coming right up,” she replies.
A few minutes later she returns with his order.
“Thanks,” the man says. “This looks delicious, but I have to ask. Did you run out of plates? Why are my eggs on a hubcap?”
“We always serve it this way,” the waitress patiently explained, “Because there’s no plates like chrome for the hollandaise!”

  5. Good morning. Since we are greeting in different languages I’ll give you mine. Frohe Weihnachten. Hope everyone has a great holiday of their choice. Especially the guys that come across for us day in and day out with outstanding work. That also includes the three amigos. Until Christmas stay well.

  6. Angela, It sounds to me like you need to take a couple days off and TRY to relax! May you and yours have the BEST of holidays!!

    • Hi Chuck! LOL! My family would day you’re going to live a long life. When quirky things like this occur…I just came back home to change clothes, and your comment pinged in…We started our celebrating at 3:30.. I so needed a break! I’ve probably already eaten enough to feed a third world country…The pressure’s relentless! 😂 And we’ll go way past midnight…Yes, I am a little stressed(?)…but it’s just the nature of the beast…and yes, I can’t wait to relax! 😉 It’ll come…Thanks for your well wishes, and I wish the same to you and yours! Enjoy! 🎄🙋🏻
