Good Morning, Everyone!                    👯 IT’S JUST TUTU MUCH! 👯

🎶 TOot, TOot, TOotsie, good-bye! TOot, TOot, TOotsie, don’t cry
The choo choo train that takes me, away from you- no words can tell how sad it makes me…Kiss me, TOotsie and then, do it over again…Watch for the mail, I’ll never fail…If you don’t get a letter then you’ll know I’m in jail…TOot, TOot, TOotsie, don’t cry...TOot, TOot, TOotsie, good-bye…🎶 “Toot, Toot, Tootsie” – Al Jolson 1922 https://tinyurl.com/yd6t7ww4

👯 What surely is a grueling life, with nerves just WOUND so tight,
It’s not all POETRY in motion…practicing late nights…
Do some feel like a MASCOT, while others take their woes
And train themselves to bear the pain, that keeps them on their toes?
The competition can be fierce, a cross word they may UTTER,
As Ballerinas vie to get one foot up on the other…
So these Two that we’re seeing, corps de ballet I presume,
Since Prima Ballerina just would never share the room.
But the audience sits totally rapt, and happily gives due…
Applauding as they smile, their eyes drawn TO TWO TUTUS! 👯

So, we’ve reached the end of another work week, and once more all of our words are reTREADS. And they’ve been SCENE many times before, TWO. I found POETRY 4 times, UTTER 5, MASCOT, 6..and WOUND, WOUND up our winner,  having apPAIRed in use on 9 previous occasions! How’s that for a PLAY BILL? And as much as I hate to SAY this, it was UTTER, that STOOD out as the POSER with the Early Bird Jumblers, and also DOUBLES as our oldest word today, having FIRST  apPAIRed on July 24th, 2014. But the PRIMA word quirk this morning? Did MASCOT look familiar? Well it should…We just saw it in PLIÉ 5 days ago this past Sunday , when it showed up as SMTACO! Hmm..A misSTEP perhaps? Anyway, let’s MOVE on to our cartoon…

Today Jeff’s bought us front row seats to the BALLET! 🎶Hey Big Spender…BEND a little time with me🎶 He’s given us a PAS DE DEUX, which despite what you many have heard, is not the French Father of twins! No, it’s a dance for TWO  BALLERINAS. And that’s what we see...TWO dancers, hands entwined, smiling down at us from the stage. Beautifully garbed in their TUTUS, as our dialogue afFIRMS, our question is asking where all the eyes were drawn? TO TWO TUTUS! Really great pun, David! And right to the POINTE! U had me at T!

Ok, eye candy…Our BALLERINAS are exquisitely dressed in shades of PINK and GRAYish light Blue…which tickled me pink…since the colors are related to a SWAN. LAKE it or not, I think it was intentional…The girl to the left, is wearing a pink leotard and tights, with her TUTU and slippers a contrasting gray. Our girl to the right, is attired just the opposite. The colors are beautiful. With a yellowed floor, the red of the backdrop curtain contrasts beautifully. Our audience consists of TWO women at left and one at right where they FLANK TWO men. I hate to say this, for fear of getting Jeff UP in ARMS again, but there’s really not much to see, as far as eye candy goes. And I hate to DANCE around the subject, but…Ok, look… I mean the DRAWing is right ON POINTE, but the EXTRAS in this SHOW? It’s a STRETCH…So, I’ll just let it ALLEGRO for today…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! And I’m going to leave a little DANCE laugh for all the BALLERINAS out there…🎶Watch me whip…watch me CHAĪNÉ ne...🎶 And for the rest of us? May we all PLIÉ nice, and never know the AGONY of deFEET! 👯🙋🏻

  1. The MASCOT was not known to recite POETRY and there was UTTER amazement when she WOUND up with a Shakespearean soliloquy.
No problems with the words or the solution today.
Not sure if I have solved the e-mail issue or not–I hope I am still on the list???

    • Hi Earl. I agree…I found it an easy go also…Nothing done here removes anyone from the listing…something just seems to go a little haywire with certain emails at times. We’re not sure why, either. I think Paul’s still having problems, after weeks. And y’day and today, my email went into my junk folder. Who knows? I hope you were able to clear it up. I enjoyed your take on the words…A lot of different ways to go with WOUND, right? Have a good one. 👯🙋🏻

  2. Good morning. Nice work Angela from the song to the poem and puns. Earl, you keep rolling like a well oiled machine. Another easy day of solving the jumble. Mascot took an extra minute to get and would be my choice for hardest word. I had the cartoon answer lickety-split but,it didn’t match when I checked with the letters. I double checked and triple checked before I realized that I substituted e instead of o. Once the switch was done all was right with the world. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. MASCOT? Even though we just had it 5 days ago? I do remember you were in a rush Sunday to go PLIÉ Bocce, but still……Ah, no biggie, you know I’m just breaking your SHOES! Thanks for the Shout Outs, Bud, and I had the answer lickety-split TOO! I like that…it’d make a good Jumble solution don’t you think? Thanks for the smile, Brooklyn, and here’s hoping you have a great day! Ciao, Bello! 👯🙋🏻

    • Good Morning, Chuck. I’m loving your wit, and your expertise with the “T”s, but have you read the T-itle to my post? Shall I come right to the POINTE? Hmm. Can we spell plagiarism? 😂😂 Glad to see you, Chuck…and it’s just a little T-ease! So, what’d’ya think about the song choice TOday? “TOM” said it had him cryin’ for his 🎶Mammy..🎶!😉 Wishing you a good one, Chuck! 👯🙋🏻

      • I overlooked. your “tu tu much” quote, Angela, for which I am very sorry. I’ll try to make sure it doesn’t happen again! Your choice of song is great as Jolson was one of my favorites. I remember Larry Parks playing him in the movies and for a time I thought Parks was Jolson. Have a great weekend..

        • Hey Chuck..You do know I was just kidding, right? Maybe I need to rein in the joking a little. It’s never meant to be critical, I’m just breaking ’em. Glad you enjoyed the song. He was a very talented man. I know the movie you’re speaking of, and I thought just as you did. I think a lot of people did. .I have to tell you though, when I came across the video early this morning, I died laughing! 😂 Those hips! 😂😂 Wishing you a great day, Chuck! 👯🙋🏻

  3. I didn’t get much from the blind solve today. The first word was obviously “to”, but the rest was not so obvious. After I solved the first three clue words, I saw “tutu” and it became clear that the whole thing was a big word play. MASCOT was also my hardest word. I gave up and ate breakfast, and then came back and MASCOT jumped out at me.
Angela–I’ve been interested in Al Jolson for a while. He was born in 1886 in a Jewish village in Lithuania. Wikipedia says, “At the peak of his career, he was dubbed “The World’s Greatest Entertainer”. His performing style was brash and extroverted, and he popularized many songs that benefited from his “shamelessly sentimental, melodramatic approach.”

    • Hi Mike, Good Morning! Having sat through Ballet Recitals ad nauseam over the years, TUTU and the other TWO just fell into my lap! But, I have to say I’m surprised that MASCOT TRIPPED you up TOO, again, only because we just saw it 5 days ago. So…do you PLIÉ Bocce, TOO? 😂😂 Just a testament I guess to David’s way with those anagrams! I always had a fascination with Al Jolson TOO. And funny thing, any time someone says, “TOO TOO”, that song starts going off in my head…I sing it to the Littles all the time…albeit not with as much “vigor” as Al displays. The man could cut a rug, huh? And what d’ya make of those hips? Had me rollin’!! A while back I helped one of the kids do a paper on him, and like you, I was taken with his story. Melodrama? The man had it down to an art! Good to see you, Mike. Don’t be a stranger…Hope you have a good one! 👯🙋🏻

      • Tutu somewhere in the solution was a given as were the words to and two.Utter was originally looking like turret but lacked the second r.Yes,mascot was a quick repeat.

      • Angela–
I didn’t do the puzzle last Sunday, so I know not this previous MASCOT of which you speak. (Wish I had an emoji of the Philly Flyer mascot.) And I swear I’ve never PLIE’D bocce.✌

        • ROTFL! Mike! You do know that I’m just breaking your shoes like I did Pauls, right? I have to stop with the jokes though, because the lack of “inflection” always gets me in trouble! Even in “real” life! But I do admit that I’m a B— B—-er! Ok, no mas, and I apologize if I STEPPED ON YOUR TOES! 😉🙋🏻

      • There’s a wonderful hockey column called “Down Goes Brown” which always includes a section titled “Three Stars of Comedy” with 3 funny things that happened in the NHL that week. He began one of the recent ones by saying “Look, I’m trying really hard not to have this be about Gritty every week, but then he goes and does something like this….”. (I think this particular example was when he crashed a wedding 😂)

    • Mike, one of the best movies I thoroughly enjoyed, that for me,the music was picked to go along with sections of the movie was ” Sleepless in Seattle”l can’t think of another movie that made such a perfect match together. The music was so great that I bought the tape to the movie. When it looked like Tom Hanks might get lucky on a first date since his wife died, the song that played was Back In The Saddle Again by Gene Autry. Al Jolson is also in there plus others. Totally fantastic set of songs. Every time I hear the song I think of the movie and smile. Sorry I posted so late. I had things to do and just remembered I never got this out earlier.

  4. Hey Professor. Good Morning…Yes, UTTER looked a little odd. And the TUTU just LEAPT right out! Very cute, very clever puzzle. As for MASCOT? Really quick repeat! I’m SMH! Have a good one, Chuck. 👯🙋🏻

  5. Hi all – There’s one of my bane words again, but this time I remembered MASCOT after trying MOSAIC. Likewise with POETRY after TROPHY.
Saw TUTU while writing out the letters; thought it was TO THE TUTUS, then saw it was even better.

My congrats to anyone who could make a sentence out of these words, no matter which sense of WOUND was used.

🎵”When I look into your eyes, your love is there for me
And the more I go inside, the more there is to see
Sail me on a silver sun, where I know that I’m free
Show me that I’m everywhere, and get me home for tea
It’s all TOO much for me to take
The love that’s shining all around you
    Everywhere, it’s what you make
For us to take, it’s all TOO much”🎵
TUTU much even! (A George Harrison song from Yellow Submarine)

    Have a great day, all!

Angela, I love PAS DE DEUX! (How about MÈRE DE HUIT? “Mother of eight shoots hole in one.”)
And for coincidences, I have no idea why, but last night the line “if you don’t get a letter then you’ll know I’m in jail” was running through my head, and I used “agony of de feet” in a comment on a comic strip. 😂🙋🏻‍♂️

    • Yea, it was a Rootin’ TOOTin’ puzzle, alright! Thanks for the Shout Out..We did “Fractured French Fhrases” one night…I didn’t win, but I did have the Lous toasting me on that one! As for the line from the song? Just last night? No lie? Now THAT’S freaky! And especially for you…2 sentences…ONE can never have TWO many! 😂 Have a good one, G! 👯🙋🏻

He thought he could WOUND her with the POETRY about her MASCOT, but he couldn’t UTTER anything that affected her…

The MASCOT for the POETRY Club only WOUND up being a bust, because he couldn’t UTTER a rhyme to save his life!

    • I can only imagine! Especially if he was the Phillies Gritty! 😂 👏🏻👏🏻 Good one, Chuck! Really good one! ..And I’m NOT JOKING! 😉🙋🏻
