  1. Good Morning, Steve. This was different. Another of those puzzles where you never realize how many of them there are, right? I liked it-18. …Nice finish last night…πŸ’πŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Good morning Angela – Quiz=11. Missed # 3, 8, 9. Had an alternate answer for 8 (equality), did the classic mistake on 9 of coming up with a good alternative that didn’t fit the topic (antipathy). πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Sharks’ game. 🀩🀩🀩🀩🀩. In the regular season, they don’t get any better than that. Icing on the cake was a win, with the winning goal being Joe Thornton’s 400th. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Randy Hahn said β€œYou’re wondering where Wayne Gretzky is on that list? He didn’t play 1500 games.” πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  2. In other news, a small band of superbly talented young men recruit a star from a similar band to complete their lineup and go on to great heights of achievement and fortune. But internal stresses and differences cause conflict and a possible breakup. What? I don’t know these β€œBeatles” of which you speak – I’m talking about the Hamptons Five! πŸ˜‚πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

      • All anyone’s talking about here is the argument between Draymond Green and KD two games ago, and Green’s suspension by the team last game. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

    • Good morning Angela – We have both been HERBIVORE. πŸ˜‚
I almost took a picture for you at the thrift store yesterday – there was a small book titled β€œSimple Italian cooking”, and marching across the top of the cover was a line of cartoon goats. I looked inside but didn’t see any Pashmina recipes (which the iPad dictation just heard as β€œpush me in a recipe”)!
Quiz=9. Missed the example and 4,5,6,7.

Hey, deGrom got the Cy Young? Good show! The KCBS sports flashback for this week has been Tim Lincecum wining his first Cy Young in his first season (and then again the next year.) πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

      • LOL…Yes, we have! Been here, done that…And more than once, too! πŸ˜‰ Cute quiz..
Oh, G…you should have taken the pic for me, because TBT…I can’t for the life of me imagine it featuring goats! I told you, I’ve never, ever heard any of my ancestors speak of goat…but then again, we weren’t mountain folk, we were sea people…Either way, I knew..JUST KNEW you’d go there!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ The mind is funny…I can’t don a Pashmina now (and I’m very fond of my Pashmina collection)… without thinking of you. Every single time. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! πŸ˜‰ It’s the follow-up thought that gets my GOAT though.πŸ˜‰ and I’m not KIDding!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Anyway, if you ever see the book again, please snap me the pic. Chances are you never will see it again, though…Sounds like a really hot item! Probably KICKed right off those shelves! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ And Ahhhhhh! My Boy, Jake! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy! I’m ecstatic! And who could have imagined…while playing for this seasons’ Mets, right??! They should give him an asterisk in the book, don’t you think?! πŸ˜‰ We threw a little impromptu party for him last night…just a few HIGH BALLS, and SLIDERS..πŸ˜‰ Nothing fancy…And I loved it when our Sportscasters here were all saying…his “first” Cy Young! Here’s to his long, illustrious future! πŸ·βšΎοΈπŸ™‹πŸ»

Too bad that “Take a Look Inside” feature doesn’t allow any clicks on the recipes…the print makes it look like you could…This is so funny…1959? Lou says he’ll buy it for me..What? I need help with my cooking??!? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ And did you see the little poem at the end?? πŸ˜‚ Thanks, Steve. You’ve made my day! πŸπŸπŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Well it certainly gave me a laugh, so I’m glad I could share it.
I can’t see the poem you’re talking about, but when I looked again I got another laugh from the disclaimer that says they can’t be held responsible for any β€œconsequences or damage” that result from using the book! I should use that before any meal I prepare! πŸ˜‚πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

      • Just scroll down to where it says “Read more”, under Salutare..The poem is the last bit of the article…What about the Carpe Kitchen? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I swear, this is just too funny. And the disclaimer had me on the floor! What does that even mean? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™‹πŸ»

And ditto on the break…It’s snowing like crazy…and accumulating already…And they said it wouldn’t start until tonight! I need to get my recycles together…Later, G! πŸ™‹πŸ»

I looked at the recipe titles, but the only thing similar was lamb or veal, so I don’t know where the illustrator came up with that picture. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

      • ROTFL!!! Steve…You know it’s the thought that counts! And you know I couldn’t care less about the money…I’m wondering why he’d offer! Doesn’t he realize I’m feeding him now!?! πŸ˜‰ Poor Baby..I’d get a food taster from now on if I were him! πŸ˜‚ Ok, I can’t laugh anymore…my side is starting to hurt! The picture? • Hi, G. Good morning…Yes, it was fun. And I only knew 7, from recently having helped one of the kids with a school paper. Otherwise, guaranteed I’d have missed it also. When it came up with the paper, I was surprised and wondered if I had known it and forgotten. The books are a trip! Who knew? And notice what nice graphics on all the others? πŸ˜‚ Those goats are still a mystery to me! πŸ˜‚πŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Hey Steve…Good Morning! You were lying in wait for me, weren’t you? πŸ˜‚ Got worried? So sorry, I’m so late…Screwed up schedule this morning…You know I’ve never posted this late….In fact. I’m sitting outside Church waiting for any one of the Lous to come get me. And I hit “publish” whilst still sitting inside, in the pew! I was looking for a closing line…and Boom! Divine intervention! It came to me just as the Mass was ending…I’m SINcerely grateful! πŸ˜‚ Anyway…I’ll wait till I get home and start my gravy before I take a look at it, and thank you. Tiny characters? I’m intrigued….And did you notice I shouted out to you last night? Or early this morning? Sweeeet shut out! Nice…Ok..My chariot awaits…Later..πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Yes, I saw that and your good luck Shark charm worked. Exactly the reverse of last week when the Sharks played the Blues in the second game of back to backs at the end of a road trip and got shut out 4-0; this time the roles were reversed, and we even used the same backup goalie, Aaron Dell, both times. See you later. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

      • G, I do get a kick at how you justify losing the tough ones on the road trips! Spoken like a true fan! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Decided to do the quiz first, with another cup of coffee…There’s time for the gravy…Or should I say…consider the SAUCE? πŸ˜‰πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Love β€œconsider the SAUCE”, but actually the announcers referred to it first. Just as the 3rd period started, they noted that the Blues had played in Vegas the night before and got into SJ around 1 AM, and said β€œLet’s see if they have anything left in the TANK”. I just thought it was remarkable that even the score was identical to last week’s loss at St. Louis. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  3. Good Morning, Steve..Odd. I think they pushed the envelope. 14. Missed 2 – I just couldn’t say it they way they called for, and 9 – I thought was a horse. I think it could have been structured differently, because it is a good subject. πŸ™‹πŸ»
