  1. A safe and happy Memorial Day to everyone..🇺🇸
To all those of us who are dealing with severe weather issues, our prayers are for you and your family.🙏

    • Good Morning, Caro. Thank you. God Bless America…and you! 🇺🇸 🙋🏻

  2. “I have a rendezvous with Death
    At some despoiled barricade
When spring comes back with nothing shed
And apple blossoms fill the air–
I have a rendezvous with Death–
When spring brings back blue days and fair.”

Alan Seeger who died in “The Great War” The full poem can be found in many places on line.
It is said that this poem was one that Jacqueline Kennedy loved and she introduced it to her husband. It came to have tragic significance after his assassination.

Remember and honor all those men and women who have given their lives that we may be free.

    • …And that it was one of President Kennedy’s favorites, and that Jackie would often recite it to him…Good Morning, Earl. God Bless America. 🇺🇸🙋🏻

  3. Good morning. It had been Proven that Shrimp swallowed whole would still Weave inside the Tummy for a short time. We got a Memorial Day gift with a easy breezy jumble today. Nothing more to say on the subject. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day and may God Bless.

  4. “In Flanders Fields the poppies blow, Between the crosses row on row”…. We have a National Cemetery here at the Presidio of S.F. Every year they have a lovely Memorial Day tribute to those who rest here. The Boy Scouts decorate the graves with little flags. It is a very moving site to behold. I am eternally grateful to those brave men and women who gave so much to keep us safe and free.

  5. Hi, all! I thank God that I have to remember my dad, who served in the Navy (Anchors Aweigh, my boys), on Veteran’s Day rather than on Memorial Day because he was not killed. One of the happiest days of my young life was the day my beloved daddy arrived home safely wearing a uniform and carrying only his huge Navy duffel bag.

Being a die-hard Jumble fan, I will add, quick Monday solve for a lovely patriotic Jumble on Memorial Day. My favorite solve was SHRIMP, seeing only one vowel, clustering SPRI, no, then SHRI, DONE. The first cartoon answer word SERVE was a given.

Prayers of sympathy to those who have lost a loved one who was serving our country, but I can’t say that I know how you feel because I do not. I am just very, very sorry and proud at the same time.

  6. Hi all – Today’s cartoon inspired a slight variation of a familiar quote – “They also serve, who only stand as waiters.” There’s dignity and honor to be found in most any profession, but of course none so much as those we remember today. I hope we all enjoy the day that they have made possible for us.

  7. Agree,we should all remember our heroes who have served to keep us free.As an aside, somehow Lebron pulled the Cavs into the finals, though it was touch and go for awhile.Go Cavs!

    • Hey Chuck. A debt we could never repay….💔
As for your aside…Somehow..But how? LOL..The man’s in a class by himself, that’s for sure. Talk about defying the odds…Despite what you think of him, (well despite what I think of him…) one has to give him the respect. I haven’t seen dominance like that in years…The touch and go? It did get a little tense, but I sat there and said..”It’s LeBron…he’s got this”! And even I can’t believe I said it! Hope you’re having a good day, Sir. Be well. 🙋🏻

      • Agree,it’s Lebron, enough said. The Cleve coach made a great move in Q4, Celtics coach called time out, giving Lebron a couple minutes rest, then Ty Lue called a Cleve time out back to back to give Lebron twice as long a rest.May have been the difference in the final minutes.

        • Hey Chuck. Guess that’s why they pay Lue the big bucks, huh? 😉 Brilliant strategic move. Had to make a difference. While we all held our breath, (and near the end there, sitting in the club with a bunch of LOUD individuals, you could hear the collective drawing in), …he was catching his. It was exciting, that’s for sure…🏀🙋🏻

        • Just like we called it all along, Chuck! Warriors vs Cavs, The Rematch IV.
We NEVER doubted them! 😂😂 🙋🏻‍♂️
