CARTOON ANSWER: AFTER SEEING THAT HIS HOUSEBOAT HAD BEEN

WRECKED IN THE STORM, HIS – – –

SNTHRAKEA = HEART SANK

Good Morning, Everyone!       💔🛳 HEART….WAKE? 🛳💔n

🎶 Don’t know why…There’s no sun up in the sky, STORMY WEATHER…Since my man and I ain’t together, keeps rainin’ all the time. Can’t go on…Everything I had is gone...STORMY WEATHER…Since my man and I ain’t together…Keeps rainin’ all the time…Life is bare, gloom and misery everywhere…STORMY WEATHER...Just can’t get my poor self together…I’m weary all the time…Keeps rainin’ all the time….🎶

🛳 He’s not CRANKY, he’s heart broken as he tried with all his might
To keep composure steady, as his heart strings pulled so TIGHT
And he watched as his boat sank and he teared up with a SNIFF,
As the memories were taken…replace them? Yea, as if…
His kids when they were Little LEAGUE and then when they were grown,
He saw his photos disappear and this he now bemoaned…
The storm had done such damage, now the water dark and dank
Just wiped away a lifetime and he watched as his HEART SANK…🛳

Today’s words can be filed UNDER been there, done that. Easily written DOWN, we’re ready to move on to our cartoon. Sadly today, what we SEA is not a happy sight. There’ll be no solution to this guys problem, even though our solution to the puzzle is easily SEAn. There’s been a STORM, and we SEA that’s it’s WRECKED havoc. Standing on a dock, watching his beloved houseboat SINK, we see a man and a woman. The diaLOG is telling us that the man has lost all his memories which were kept on the boat. Unfortunately, his WATERSHED moment is taking place right before his eyes. He stands there, hat in hand, crestFALLEN, as his arm crosses his broken HEART. Our question states that after seeing this, his…HEART SANK. What can I say about this puzzle? This SHIP has SAILED…Eye candy? There’s a lot of BLUE….and ironically, Jeff hasn’t given us his beloved SINKING sailboat today. Instead out on the horizon, we see a red-sailed boat, with three people aboard. They’ve WEATHERED the STORM…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day Everyone! And I wish you all smooth SAILING….🛳🙋🏻

  1. FYI: GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE. The email went out reading: Jumble AnsWETS instead of Answers…No PUN intended! Sorry about that! I’ve made the correction..Lets just SAIL past it!🙋🏻

    • Good Morning! I’m sure you did, Big Guy! I BOW to your prowess! Have a good one! 🛳🎶

  2. With a haughty SNIFF, the CRANKY chair of the LEAGUE of women voters banned all TIGHT jeans from future meetings.
Great song Angela , knew you would remember .
Major league poem. Thanks for details.

    • Good Morning, Earl. And here’s hoping the League votes her out next time around! No tight jeans, indeed! Too much pressure! 😉 Thanks for the shout out, and accept mine in return. Great imagery! 😉 And speaking of 🎶Stormy Weather🎶, what a coincidence. I just came home to find the new Lena Horne stamps in my mailbox. That face! She was such a beautiful woman! Hope you’re having a great day! 🛳🙋🏻

      • Sometimes serendipity seems so surreal.
My earlier post was so short because the wi-fi where I was, kept dropping me. I wrote it five times before having success.
Thanks also for the crypto-quips info. Right now? Way beyond my skill level.
Have a great day. Sun promises to appear later!

        • Yes it does, Earl. You’re very welcome, no worries. Sun’s here, for today at least. Wishing you a great day also. 🙋🏻

      • The younger women protested the tight jeans ban by showing up in T-shirts AN-SWETS. 😉 Didn’t even notice that this morning, Angela.

  3. Good morning. Great choice for the song and use of the words. Earl, top notch. How dare the uptight ladies ban tight jeans. Now what do the all American boys have to look at “flowers”? Easy breezy today. When I realized I had left the “K” out with the other letters, the answer came like a dropped anchor. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Paul. And Thank you for the shout out. That “flowers” in quotation marks? Should I even go there? 😉..I liked the dropped anchor! I enjoy seeing the Navy man in you come out! Have a good one, Brooklyn! 🛳🙋🏻

  4. Hi all – Only LEAGUE took a second glance. Awwwww! Usually, there’s just a boat sinking in the distance. This time, our creators are really PILING on the poor guy – he’s been DECKED! Should have uploaded those photos to the clouds that we see up there. I also like the detail of the book getting soggy – is that “Watership Down?”

Well, since we’re on (or under) the water, I guess I can talk about the Sharks!
A Chronicle column today described how nuts everyone in Las Vegas is going about the Golden Knights, but ended by saying that a lot of people underestimate how good San Jose is, and that “The Sharks are flying under the radar” which gave me a good laugh when I tried to picture it. SHARKNADO!!

    Have a good one, everybody.

      • Or “The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.”
I meant to mention that I particularly enjoyed your poem today. 🙋🏻‍♂️
        🎵”Peridots and periwinkle blue medallions
Gilded galleons strewn across the ocean floor”🎵

        • 🎶And he learns to give…He aches and he learns to live🎶 My favorite line…
          Thank you…😘🙋🏻

  5. Though I’ve seen the word before, I had trouble with LEAGUE and had to back in. At first I thought the light was part of an oil rig. Wishing all a great day.

  6. Hi Caroline. You’re not alone. LEAGUE’s getting the most views today. Wishing you a great day also. 🛳🙋🏻

  7. Hi, all! At first glance, I thought his “spirits sank” and then “hopes” or “dreams.” Poor thing! His HEART SANK. SNIFF, TIGHT, & CRANKY were easy but I worked to get LEAGUE, thinking immediately of 20,000 leagues under the sea, of course.

After working hard at eating chicken noodle soup & resting and getting well from a viral URI (upper respiratory infection), I came down yesterday with a bacterial URI necessitating 10 days of an antibiotic. I have a rule that one much stay in bed the first 3 days to let the antibiotic do its job, sooooo back to bed I go. I will take all of your well wishes from the last few weeks with me and will be feeling much better by Sunday. Yesterday I was so dizzy that when I went to Costco with Jerry, I had to hold on to him or the basket so bed will be better than that, and I will soon be fine. Thank you again for all of your care, concern, prayers, and well wishes that I have stored up in my HEART!!

    • I’m sorry to hear that you’re still not feeling well. Take care and I hope it clears up soon. 🙋🏻
