t Today’s words except for maybe PACIFY are old favorites. Ironically, SPRUCE WOOD have worked well y’day, right? But Pacify? Is it new? Can we make PEACE with it? What do you think, Folks? SAILING over to our cartoon, Jeff’s placed us ABOARD a Cruise Ship. Without any passengers on board, we SEA the CREW being afforded some time for themselves. We have four men, three women, and various means of diversion. For those of us who’ve been on cruises, we know how hard these people work. It’s no day at the beach! I’m sure there’s been many a time when these crew members have become SHE SICK, and HE SICK of catering to so many guests. So this down time is well deserved. Our question asks what the Ocean Liner is, now that the passengers are gone…The ShuffleBOARD player is saying,,”We never get a chance”… Ding! Ding! Ding! it’s the “CREW’S” SHIP! All Hands on Deck! …What a LINE ER, good job, David! Ok, eye candy. There’s a plethora today! Below the ships Funnels, we see a man, in uniform, the Captain perhaps, looking VERY relaxed, if you catch my DRIFT…Is that PORT he’s drinking? The women next to him is speaking into a wired HAND mic, the PA system, which Jeff shows us to be blaring off to the side. Below them is a guy with his fingers extended on both HANDS…Who he’s gesturing to, I’m not sure, but he’s smiling and happy! And then there’s the guy in the hot tub…with his hat on, and a drink in his hand…He’s VERY, VERY happy! We have the couple playing shuffleBOARD, giving us the dialogue, and lastly, the woman sunbathing, with a drink, while using her phone. Phew! What a CREW! So what’s my pick for the day? Way off to the right side…STARBOARD? Jeff’s signature sinking sailboat! Gets me every time! So, there you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! And remember, MOOR often than KNOT, in life, SHIP happens…WATER you gonna do? Just get out there, and SEAS the day! 🛳🙋🏻

Typical Tuesday puzzle? Clue words were relatively easy and solution, in spite of the dreaded quotation marks, was not tough. Thanks for the details Angela—I tend to dismiss stuff once I have solved the puzzle—although the shuffleboard looked strange to me. Any thoughts?
Enjoyed your song choice and your plethora (oh oh) of puns reminded me of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s most famous poem.

Today’s words were easy with spruce being a tic in a quick read. I solved the cartoon answer fairly quick only I had the answer as “ships crew”. I like mine better so I’m sticking with that. Who’s to say which one is right. The hiker did spruce himself up to pacify his girlfriend that swung with a hip crowd. It’s amazing what us guys will do for ❤️. Until tomorrow stay well. That works! Thanks! Before one would go to menu and it was under entertainment. Then one had to go to menu, then entertainment, then the menu again. Now there is no menu either time that has the puzzles. I will try this link from now on as it seems to skip all the steps necessary before! Hi, all! Our paper is still in the yard so had to use the Seattle online paper, which times you, so I know that I typed all 4 clue words correctly in less than a minute.
I saw the word SHIP in the letters but didn’t have the whole answer yet. According to that fast-moving timer, it took me 3 minutes to use paper and pen to complete the fun Jumble of the day.
When we went on an Aegean Sea cruise, one of our group was a young girl (maybe 20) who loved the beauty shop so much that she went back to Greece after the trip and became a member of the CREW on that same ship, working in the beauty shop.

Hi all – The answer couldn’t be DECK or HAND, so SHIP and the answer popped out. The dreaded SPRUCE got me again. Actually gave up on it after 10 minutes, even knowing the letters. Nice to see an exception to the IC trick on PACIFY, where the IC isn’t at the end of the word.
Also nice to hear Frankie Ford on his Sea Cruise, although he occupies the same space in my brain as Freddy (Boom-Boom) Cannon and I often get them mixed up.
Shufffleboard – Kind of a mixture of curling and bocce with some horseshoes thrown in, all on a rolling deck. If that doesn’t make you seasick then you’re all set for the rest of the trip.
