No problems with clue words or the solution this Saturday morn. I was a little intimidated when I saw the quotation marks and the number of letters, but after looking at the cartoon, the answer was
obvious. Great photo of real pandas.

I saw a lot of bamboo that was used to decorate…
One house was all in peach and green, with rooms filled with rattan
I knew that was the one and so the paperwork began
Wanting all the furniture, a contract ANNEX we did add
And signed and sealed we wrapped it up, and then I was so glad…
But when I came back to NY it didn’t seem quite right…
I’d sit up with my LAPTOP searching decor through the night.
My friends all started MURMURing that I was on a mission..
And they were right because I changed the whole house but the kitchen…
I brought the beauty found down there and we got down and DIRTY
And slowly transformed the NY house into one real light and airy
And bamboo, rattan, wicker from the Philippines did come…
A lot of work, but worth it after the PANDA-MODIUM! 🐼🐼
Bamboo..hoo..hoo? Not today! Except maybe for LAPTOP. One of those combo/portmanteau kind of words that can give you a boo-hoo-hoo; it may have bamboozled you a bit, but the rest of our words are easy, breezy. Today Jeff’s brought us to the rainforests of China, and we see a group of Giant Pandas fighting over Bamboo. C’mon…PANDERing to such nonsense! Share, guys, there’s more than enough to go around. Anyway, the dialogue tells us that it’s a constant battle, totally insane…Lets face it Folks..The solve’s right there…This is PANDA-MONIUM! Plain and simple, BLACK and WHITE! Great one, Dave. This ones stuPANDAs! Ok, eye candy…I’m CHINA get something here, but it’s BEARly showing me anything…I could STALK around this, but even after I exPANDAed the pic, I’m still not getting a good REED on it, so I’ll pass today. Today, BYE candy. So, There you have it, Folks, Done!

Good morning. For me the words were not easy. From 1-4, I was able to get them in the order of 3,1,4 2. Laptop had me buffaloed for almost an hour. Such an easy word and yet it took forever to get. Then looking at the cartoon,there was a complete blank for another hour. Catching my daughterinlaw going out the door I asked for her insight. It took her less than a minute to get the answer. God bless her. Seeing the answer,l have to admit it was fairly easy. Just have a thing regarding quotations. Until tomorrow stay well.
I figured out the answer beforehand, but had trouble getting “laptop’. I look forward to solving the Jumble every day! Chuck

Yesterday I called my friend for her to post her stories regarding raccoons and possums she had in her garage. I guess she opted not to. She didn’t know that the city dropped off the animals in various places to deal with the rat problem. Of course it was never revealed but, that was the rumor. Supposedly from people in the know.

To me it was evident that Earl was referring to smut on the laptop. And yes that was the scuttlebutt that was going around at least five years ago. It seemed to work. Hardly ever see them running around except maybe Coney Island or the U A theater off the Belt Parkway. One or two theaters had a big problem with mice. Every once in awhile a patroon would scream that a rat ran over their feet and I would assure them it was only a mouse not a rat. Got to admit it was funny at the time. Naturally they would get their money back and a couple of free passes. That always worked. You never know what’s crawling around your feet in the dark. Now that the thought is in your head, I bid you farewell.
Paul, I hope you know I was just breaking your shoes here….I hope I didn’t offend you. I apologize if I did. Just joking. And I thought Earl was going for dirty keys! Angela, thanks yesterday for your “Get some rest & pleasant dreams.” I was doing just that when 2 granddaughters came over for a very pleasant chat and were still here when Joyce popped by after teaching and stayed the rest of the day; hence, my thanking you today. I said “hence” because yesterday I jokingly teased Joyce that I still remembered her bringing her grammar book over here for a year while we proofread my book with her encouraging me to use “therefore” with “semicolon, therefore, comma” and the same with “hence.” We laughed & laughed at that.
Paul, you are right, it was scary for our younger one, Diane, seeing a guy on their security tape trying to get into her home. The worst part is deciding to get out right now during the school year when she is so busy with teaching, but she is strong & determined; therefore, she will make it. She also has a huge incentive in the fact that she likes everything about the new house. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.

Angela and Paul: Regarding the reference to a DIRTY LAPTOP in my sentence this morning. Since the setting was a school and this is a family blog, I meant that the LAPTOP itself was unclean not some content displaying on it. Perhaps seeing so many references to schools being closed and disinfected prompted the thought. Watching young people pass around their electronic devices, I can see all kinds of BUGS going from fingers to keys to noses and mouths, not just the flu.

We are all good here, in more than one respect. But the different interpretations of my written words reinforce my belief that speaking directly to others, either an individual or group, is the best way to communicate. I have some serious misgivings about those who presently depend on texting, tweeting or other forms of social media to express themselves. Just my opinion, for what it’s worth.

I just got around to looking at today’s puzzle as I was on the road.Annex,dirty,and murmur gave me no problems,but laptop had me stumped.But then when I solved the panda monium solution,and saw I needed an o,p,and an a,I was able to come up w laptop as that word solution.In reading the other replies,I saw that I wasn’t the only one stumped by laptop.
