TYTKI – KITTY

VICCI – CIVIC

GIDNIO – INDIGO

NIWONM – MINNOW

CARTOON ANSWER: WHEN THE COIN-PRODUCTION FACILITY WAS COMPLETED,

IT WAS IN – – –

ITTCIINDOMNNO – MINT CONDITION

Good Morning, Everybody!          💰 WAS IT MINT TO BE?…💰

🎶Three COINS in the fountain, each one seeking happiness. Thrown by three hopeful lovers…Which one will the fountain bless? Three COINS in the fountain,
Through the ripples how they SHINE. Just one wish will be granted, one heart will wear a valentine…🎶

💰💰  Commemorative coins are often made to mark certain events
They’re not used to make purchases, they’re not dollars and cents
They’re not thrown in a KITTY to ante up a game
They can mark CIVIC happenings or someone’s new found fame.
We’ve seen them made for Elvis say with color for his hair
That shade that looked like INDIGO, those lips curled in a sneer
There’s some that may show MINNOWS as background for a scene
In which we can see sea and shore and and maybe sunrise sheens.
The people who collect them, these various renditions
Will enjoy seeing today’s cartoon to see their MINT CONDITION…💰💰

Today’s words, returning favorites all, are easy, breezy to COIN a phrase.
Moving right along, I FLIPPED over to our cartoon. I didn’t take an immediate SHINE to it though. The men’s clothing, the facial hair, seemed DATED and perhaps European, but I wouldn’t put my MONEY on it. I’ll be honest, Folks, there very well may be a PRODUCTIVE story behind it, but today unFORTUNately, I lack the INTEREST to INVEST in it. I’m really PRESSED for time, and I’m drawing a BLANK. So, let’s just go for the GOLD, as they say, and solve this RIDDLE. Jeff’s showing us a BRAND new facility which manufactures COINS, a MINT.
Being brand new, the dialogue tells us that it’s “SHINY“. It simply makes a lot of CENTS…The facility was in “MINT CONDITION“. WRAP it up and take it to the BANK, we’ve STRUCK it RICH! Good pun, Dave. Once aGAIN you get my STAMP of approval! Ok, eye candy. The cartoon shows a lot of brown today. While it’s my favorite color, there’s not much DEPICTed to make me FLIP. But, being a lover of men’s fashion, my eyes keep going to their shoes. They’re spats, but surprisingly they’re not colored as two-toned. And since that doesn’t make much CENTS to me, I’m choosing them as my candy.  So, there you have it, Folks, Done!
Have a great day, Everyone. And remember, CHANGE is inevitable. You can COUNT on that…💰🙋🏻

    • Good Morning, Caro. Good one!
I know, I heard…Molto Freddo! It’s freezing! My Grandma would say “mutandoni” weather! Stay warm, Big Guy. Don’t go doing anything crazy! 🙋🏻

  1. How great to find the Jumble answers posted early. Way to go Angela.. I keep trying to remember to click on Rate This, Liked solving puzzle just by reading it, but also enjoy the more difficult ones. I wonder when a puzzle comes quickly to me if it is because I am such a genius or I was extremely lucky. One thing is obvious, I am in good company with puzzle solving geniuses here. Now I am worried if I spelled all that correctly! HAGD

    • Good Morning, Harry. Happy to accommodate. There’s a few of us early birds out here…I wholeheartedly agree with you, the challenge is exciting, but some days we just eat the bear as they say. The genius/luck thing? I believe we make our own luck in life, and I was raised on a mantra of “self praise stinks”, so I can’t speak on the genius part. But I’ll give you the good company for sure. And don’t sweat the spelling…I can always correct it for you. 😉 Wishing you a good day too, Hoosier Man. 🙋🏻

  2. When the KITTY saw the flash of INDIGO from the MINNOW on the fisherman’s hook, she knew it was her CIVIC duty to rescue it.
Easy solve all around as Angela so poetically pronounced. Great post and we are shivering up here in minus 12 wind chill. Good news? No snow right now– later😡 💨 ☃

    • Good morning, Earl. Thank you very much. So you’re saying the Kitty DIDN’T eat the Minnow? 😂 We’re at 19, with the WC at -5. Moose at -3. Pretty COOL bunch we all are, huh?
Stay warm, Kind Sir. Have a good day! 🙋🏻

  3. Good morning. No problem with three of the four words. Indigo slipped in via the back way. I was able to get the cartoon answer on a blind solve. Knowing the three letters I was able to get the last word. Until tomorrow stay well. Thanks for the early post.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn! You’re very welcome. Cute, easy puzzle today, right? Glad to see you; hope you have a great day! 🙋🏻

  4. Good puzzle this morning. Figured out the cartoon answer first and had no problem with the clue words. Hope you folks in the Midwest and East Coast are keeping warm. When I watch the evening news, it looks awfully cold to me back there. Hope all of you had a good holiday . Happy Wednesday.

  5. Hi all – Only MINNOW took an extra pause and the answer was easy.
All you shivering people, it could be worse. You could be trying to dig out in Erie, Penn. Unbelievable!

Angela – One set of spats is two-toned in the Chronicle. Three coins THROWN in the fountain? 😂
🎵”Life is CHANGE – How it differs from the rocks.”🎵

    • Erie, right? WT???? You got an authentic Spats? SPATSacular! Is it the guy on the right? There’s a slight variation in my paper also, but not enough to be considered a real pair of two-toned spats. You know the purist in me! 😉
And Grasshopper? I thought of you when I did the 🎶Three Coins🎶 this morning! LOL…Good pick up!
      🎶Crown of Creation🎶? It’s been a long time….Talk to you later. 🙋🏻

  6. Hi, all! Jerry didn’t read the weather report to me yesterday, but just now he told me that Erie, Pennsylvania had a 34-inch snowfall on Christmas day!!! I have NEVER before heard of that much snow falling anywhere all in one day. My sympathy is with them and also with you, Mike, since you are probably digging out from some snowfall, too.

I let my houseguests help with my Jumble solve. Josh knew the answer immediately, I got to solve KITTY & CIVIC, he changed my quickly spoken “ongoing” to INDIGO, and I saw MINNOW first. A fun joint effort.

We have another fun day planned of eating lunch out and playing games. The board games Jerry & I received are fun and challenging. The goofiest one is called Hungry Bear. With an air gun you shoot ping pong balls into the bear’s open mouth.

Here in Phoenix for today & 5 more days we have the mid-seventies predicted. Nice!

  7. Angela- Thank you for the tutorial on yesterday’s puzzle (I left you a comment.)
Your help enabled me to be aware of the conversation here between the guys in suits, i.e., “shiny and new”, “perfect”, PLUS their obvious location = MINT. And what goes with that, automatically = CONDITION!
    THANKS AGAIN!

    • Hello, again, Denny!
I saw your comment, and I raised you one! My reply, of course is on y’days page. And, there you have it, Sir, one lesson and it’s CHANGEd the way you look at the Jumble! Tell your friends! 😂 All kidding aside, I’m very happy I could help. And it makes it more fun reading “between the lines”, doesn’t it? You’re very welcome and as I said, anytime. And thanks for the kind words! Be well. Ciao! 🙋🏻
