PACCLEASTLHRO –  LOCAL CHAPTERS

Good Morning, Everyone!  📚 These Are The TOMES That Try Men’s HOLDS 📚

🎶Oh I wonder, wonder who, who-oo-ooh… Who wrote the BOOK of love?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, Oh who wrote the BOOK of Love? I’ve got to know the answer…Was it someone from above? Oh, I wonder, wonder who, mmbadoo-ooh, who…Who wrote the BOOK of Love?🎶

📚📚 My iPad has enough books in it, waiting to be read
It is a whole lot easier to carry into bed…
But nothing beats the feel, the smell of pages in a book,
Today we see a Book Club when we go to take a look.
Sometimes I start to PANIC since I think I’ll never get
To read all that I’ve downloaded…Yes, sometimes I forget,
That nothing needs to be returned, no CLERK do I need see
It’s VASTLY a lot easier, there is no Library.
No schedule THROWN off balance, no due date will there be,
So that part is a blessing, but again it’s just not me.
I love a book, a page to turn, I think my ever after…
Will have my fingers physically touch what’s in those Local Chapters! 📚📚

Boxing Day, St Stephen’s Day…Whiners Day. Yes, Whiners Day, with an “H”, not a CV! But you’ll find no whining here. Our words today are nothing to see READ about. I SCANned right through them…and TURNed to our cartoon. Well, well, well, take a BOOK at this…A Book Club Meeting. What a NOVEL idea! Jeff gives us a COLLECTION of CHARACTERS, some of which, once again, have the distinctive look of “real people”, not FICTIONal. (I remember that Tom Bosley look-alike). And once again, I wish I had the time to INDEX to do the RESEARCH. But, uh..no. So Jeff will just have to COVER my BACK, and come FORWARD with the INFORMATION. If not…Well, just one more MYSTERY that goes unsolved. So, five READERS, at what looks like a Library or a Book Store. The DIALOGUE is telling us that they’re all happy over the FACT that the BOOK they’re READING, “A Jumbled Life”, is the same one that other CHAPTERS of the National Club are READING. (You caught the name of the BOOK, WRITE Folks? “A Jumbled Life”? Talk about good PR…Jeff’s becoming a regular PUBLICIST, isn’t he? A regular WHOsier WHO…A regular FISHERs for compliments, a regular…Uh, ok, that’s all I got. I’ll just LEAF it alone for now, because the STORY LINE is just PLOTzing here, and it’s an entirely different SUBJECT)! And Jeff? I apologize in ADVANCE! 😀 I can only blame my SHELF! Ok, Books, “in town”, neighborhood branch…”LOCAL CHAPTERS“! BOOM! I mean..BOOK! CHECK THAT OUT! Is that a FINE pun, or what? DEWEY just love Dave? Yes, we do...NO HOLDS barred! Ok, the Eye Candy. Is it the owl on the bearded guys shirt? WHO is he, anyway? There is a “Learned Owl Book Club“, and a “Little Owl Book Club”, but I’m up a tree, and in the dark with the details. (Am I READING too much into this)? Is it the Jumble mug? (And no, I’m not TURNING back to that SUBJECT)! Hmm…I got it. The candy today is the tiny little Number 3, visible on the two open BOOKS. They’re up to CHAPTER 3. My favorite number! Hmm… “A Jumbled Life”…CHAPTER 3…Jeff? We’ve met?
So, There you have it, Folks! Done.
Have a great day, Everyone! And remember…We all have a STORY. GENRE has one, PAIGE has one, REID has one…But we should always LEAF a bit of MYSTERY to ourselves. Be the NOVEL one in your GROUP. Don’t be such an OPEN BOOK. Keep ’em wanting more…Let ’em say..”ISBN thinking about you…”
And trust me…They’ll always RETURN… 📚🙋🏻

    • Good Morning, Big Guy. Thank you! Just about…LOL.
Hope you have a great day too! How’s the snow? ☃🙋🏻

      • Angela nice job but where did you come up with the name of the book they were reading. Boy my mind is totally somewhere else.

        • Hey Paul. Thanks, Bud! …And there’s nothing wrong with your mind!
The name is printed on the cover of the book lying in front of the woman seated at the table. It’s facing towards my Tom Bosley look-alike. I’d add the graphic in, like Mike does, but every time I attempt it, I end up creating a second page. And last time, a reader from West Sheboygan or somewhere read me the riot act! And you know how we Brooklynites react to things like that, right!!! 😂😂😂 So, I’ll pass. Maybe Mike can do it later. If not, later on I’ll give you the on-line link and you can take a look. Fair enough, Bro?

  1. Not your usual Tuesday puzzle Jeffy Boy….Don’t really know Dave but will if he come to Hamilton county to play golf! Got held up on PANIC…Stumbling on a 5 letter CW is almost as bad as missing a 3 foot putt. So worried what people will think of me. A character flaw of mine. Nice Job Angela, Moving around is the best medicine.

    • Good Morning,Harry. Thank you very much. Can’t put the word choices on Jeff, Harry, that’s all Dave’s doing. The 5 letter words are often tricky, especially if there’s 2 syllables involved. And Dave does like his “2”. You should see his “JUST 2 WORDS”!
Harry, a Hoosier, worried about what people think of him? Since when? That’s ridiculous! You guys got plenty of confidence! ….
      Have a great day, Hoosier..😉🙋🏻

  2. Good morning. The words were fun. Nothing jumped out at first glance but I did get the six letter words first. Then another thirty seconds and both five letter words came to mind. The cartoon answer was another story though. A second and third look still left me with no thoughts so I caved in and looked. My mind is occupied with thoughts of a new washing machine, mine broke down yesterday. We had it for awhile so it’s no sense to repair it. I did that once already. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. How’s it going? I told you before, it’s not caving in, it’s checking your answers! We’re from Brooklyn… We don’t cave! 😂
Sorry about your washing machine. Don’t these things always seem to happen at the worst times? You just got SENT TO THE CLEANERS with Christmas, and now this! It’s ALL too much, right? I hope you got enough to TIDE you over. You know I’d WISK your troubles away if I could! But don’t let it get to you…Nothing to GAIN from that! Have a great day, Brooklyn! 📚🙋🏻

      • I looked with the magnifying glass and still couldn’t see anything. Thanks for your pep talk, nice of you but thank God it really doesn’t bother me that it happened. I’m annoyed that I have to wait however long to get it here. Tomorrow the old will be out and I’ll order a new one.

        • Hey Paul. Here’s the link. After it opens, scroll down to Jumble. Click on it. After that opens, click on the PDF in the gray shaded box. You’ll get a nice sized pic.
Pep talk? FUHGEDDABOUDIT, Brooklyn! 🎶That’s what friends are for…🎶 Anytime, Bud!
We got sone serious cold out there, huh? Jeez!
Ok. Let me know what you get to see…Ciao! 📚🙋🏻

        • PAUL:
PS: After you get it opened, you can spread the pic with your fingers to really zero in on the details…🙋🏻

  3. The county CLERK was THROWN into a PANIC when she realized she had VASTLY underestimated the need for assistants for the new .year.
Clue words were easily unscrambled but the solution took a lot longer! I had to write the letters out, stare at them, look at the cartoon for clues until LOCAL came to mind. Clever play on words today.
Very very cold up here so it’s a bundle up in layers kind of Tuesday. ☃☃💨

    • Good Morning, Earl. First let me start by applauding 👏🏻 your choice of a county clerk! A woman! Kudos! Next, your sentence. On point as always, and very timely with the year drawing to a close! And I agree, very creative wording today….A great READ!
Freezing here also. We’re at 22°, with a wind chill at 16. I can’t imagine what you’re looking at. Stay warm…May I suggest curling up with a good BOOK? And some Norah Jones perhaps? Bet she’ll warm ya right up!
      Take care, kind Sir! 📚🙋🏻

    • Hey Earl, Happy Boxing Day!
🎵”I am just a poor boy Though my story’s seldom told
      I have squandered my resistance
For a pocket full of mumbles, such are promises”🎵

Oops, wrong form of boxing! Although really, don’t you think that’s what most people in the US think it’s about? And I’ll take any excuse to send you a Simon and Garfunkle quote.

      • Thanks Steve. So kind of you to send Simon and Garfunkel my way on Boxing Day!
The Brits and the Canadians set this day aside to do good deeds for the less fortunate. Perhaps here we could institute a day after “excess” day and help those who need a little charity–meaning love as well as help.

  4. Hi all – I have no idea how THROWN popped into my head after staring at it for two minutes. Then LOCAL seemed to be suggested by the repeated references to ‘national’, but it took a bit before CHAPTERS appeared. Great pun.

Angela, “ISBN thinking..”? My compliments – GROAN (that *is* my compliment.)
    Stay warm and dry, everyone.

🎵”If you really like it you can have the rights.
It could make a million for you overnight.
If you must return it you can send it here,
But I need a break, and I want to be a paperback writer,
    Paperback writer.”🎵

    • Ah, 🎶Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book? It took me years to write, will you take a look…?🎶 A song very near and dear to my heart….And I tossed it around this morning for a fleeting moment, and even sang a few bars…Bars?? (Garoppolo? For some strange reason they’ve become synonymous)! But being the purist that I am, I just couldn’t go there. A hard cover, is a hard cover, is a hard cover! What can I say? 😂
Thanks for the shout out! It generated collective groans here also! And the obligatory…”Really, where do you come up with this s—“?!! I made myself LOL..
(And we had to explain it to one of us, who shall remain nameless, and obviously not as well-read as we all had believed…)!!! 😂😂 It definitely was “one for the BOOKS”…I loved it!
PS: (Hmm..Perhaps you were thinking “Game of THRONES”. Trust me, it was heard)!!! Six degrees was in the House! Have a great day, Grasshopper!
      Talk to you later…..📚🙋🏻

      • 🎵”It’s a dirty story of a dirty man
and his clinging wife doesn’t understand..”🎵
Oh right, we’ve heard that line before.

And I did think of Game of THROWNS (but I don’t watch the show.) 🙋🏻‍♂️

        • LEARily familiar! 😂😂😂
          I’ve never watched it either…But we READ, Steve…we READ!!! ROTFL… 🙋🏻

  5. Hi, all! After playing games yesterday, we worked a puzzle until way past bedtime. Once we start one, we don’t want to stop. Josh & mom stayed the night so I let them each help me with a clue word. Swirling my Scrabble letters, I saw CHAPTERS first and then LOCAL.

Thanks for my Merry Christmas wish from you, Mike, and I already know you had a merry one with your precious family. Will we recognize you when you discontinue dressing like Santa? LOL

Our daughter & Josh are waiting for me to play a new board game with them so off I go!

  6. Hi, Steve! Great to hear from you yesterday! My daughter and I just listened to the Beatles song you recommended, and being familiar with the song, she got to sing along. I had never heard it before but liked it very much. Thank you!

Daughter & Josh are waiting to teach me a new board game. Wish I had the perfect song to send to you. I hope you are having a very merry day-after Christmas!!

    • Hi Lelia – I left a message on IOW. You got me thinking about board games. My first favorites with my family were Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders. Later we progressed to card games like poker, cribbage and Canasta. As adults, we were into “Risk” for awhile. Lots of fun!

  7. The words were a breeze, but I found nothing, zero, zilch in the clue to help with the answer.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

    • Hey Denny. National’s given in the question. The clues were in the drawing and the dialogue. The woman in back, on the right specifies “here in town” = Local. (Vs national). The man seated at left is saying..”‘this part” = Parts of a book=Chapters. And if you see the drawing magnified, he’s pointing to a page marked number 3. Third chapter. So if you break it down like that…. Does that make any more sense of it? Let me know…
I had a great Christmas, Thank you. I hope you did also. 📚🙋🏻

  8. Angela, you are a sweetheart to take the time to explain in such depth where I might find clues in this Jumble. Yes, you helped – THANK YOU!

    • Thank you, and as are you,❤️ Denny for saying so.
You’re very welcome, any time. Just give a shout out…I’m always happy to help! Ciao! 🙋🏻
