  1. 🎢Don’t know much about geography, Don’t know much TRIGONOMETRY, Don’t know much about algebra, Don’t know what a slide rule is for, But I do know one and one is two…And if this one could be with you…What a wonderful world it would be.”🎢…Ah, Math! AARGGG, MATH!
Today’s words: If Dave gives us 4 words, 2 with 5 letters, 2 with 6 letters, and a puzzle answer with 14 letters, consisting of 2 words, with 7 letters in each, how many watermelons did Jeff buy? Yep, that’s how I see it. ACUTE ANGLE? A guy with a novel pick up line. RECIPROCAL? A recipe in favor of the fat. ARCCOT? Where we sleep when we go camping. Watermelons aSIDE, the words were fairly easy. And the eye candy? Yep, the pocket protector, just beCOS. Now, the cartoon. This is what TANS to drEDGE up those High School nightmares. Very GRAPHIC. This poor couple, hoping to move into a new place, are shown a DIAGRAM of the layout. Look at their faces! You could lay them out! Shock, disbelief, apprehension…Yep, just as I said..High School all OVER again! So, what’s this COMPLEX called? VIETE, Not Yet? THEOREM Scare Em? PTOLEMY Follow Me? They can’t move in there..Talk about CONFUSION! Poor guy comes home SUM night after having a few with the boys, and he’ll end up in a REAL nightmare! Who’ll POINT him in the RIGHT direction? SE? CANT be done. So, nice job, Jumble Boys, you’ve made it so easy to solve! But, bottom LINE, it’s still a COMPLEX COMPLEX!

Ok, That’s it for me. I got my coffee, a nice piece of PI, and a TRIANGULAR wedge of Jeff’s watermelon. It’d be a SIN to let it go to waste. Last bit of advice to that IMAGINARY couple? I won’t go off on a TANGENT, and it HERTZ me to tell you this, but…Don’t SINE, and Don’t CO-SINE!…Run, EUCLID do so much better!
Enjoy, Everyone! And, COUNT your blessings! πŸ”ΌπŸ”½ πŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Angela, I guess we have more than a few COMMON DENOMINATORs in our disdain for math.
But I won’ t ENUMERATE them here. Just SUBRACT the number of hours of pain suffered in math class in HS from the number of hours of joy from the total hours spent in all classes and the REMAINDER would sadden you.

      • LOL…Hi, Earl. Good morning. Oh yeah, we have that in common! Math sucked the life out of me. Complete denial! Took every writing course imaginable, but Math? IMPOSSIBLE INFINITE INCONSISTENCIES! But we survived, RIGHT? Hope you enjoy your day! πŸ”ΌπŸ”½πŸ™‹πŸ»

  2. Wanting to be EXEMPT from failure, the new recruit had to OPPOSE his natural urge to EXCEL at everything and CLAMP down on being overly aggressive.
Easy solve today but coming up with a sentence which made sense and had a degree of fluidity was more than I could handle–sorry about all those infinitives, but it was the best I could do.πŸ˜– πŸ™„
Have a great Saturday every one.

  3. Doesn’t anybody edit these guys? It’s “trigonometric” NOT “triganomic”. I expect more from the Jumble guys. Other than that, they are amazing! πŸ˜‰

    • Ah, Jeff. Far be it from me to quibble over Math or Math terms. Numbers not my strong suit. (Maybe not yours either, going all in with that pair of Kings…) But now that it’s out in the open, blame autocorrect! Who’d question it? And yes, you guys are amazing!

  4. Good morning. The words were easy except for exempt that took a couple of minutes extra to get. I do have a bachelors degree but had no idea what the cartoon picture was all about. I can honestly say I never saw that word befor “triganomic” in the picture. Looked up the meaning but I still fell short of getting the answer. Oh well looking forward to tomorrow. Until then stay well.

    • Hi Paul, Good morning. If you look above, you’ll see that Jeff from Jumble wrote in to say that the word was misprinted. It should have read “Trigonometric”. So it’s not your education, you’re good! Until tomorrow…πŸ™‹πŸ»

  5. Clue words solved quickly and answer fell into place. Nice puzzle for a busy Saturday. Everyone enjoy the weekend. 🌞

  6. Hello all –
Had to pause at EXEMPT and write out the letters to get the answer.

With apologies to Earl for my inferior sentence, and Angela with the disclaimer that I wrote this before reading her post:

When he couldn’t get anyone to COSINE the loan, he tried to distract the manager by going off on the TANGENT of claiming he was EXEMPT from the requirement.
SEE? CAN’T come close to the sentence master.

No wonder the COMPLEX was confusing; half of it was imaginary!

  7. Hi, Mike, Steve, Angela, et al! No commenting for me today because Jerry has pain. I wrote my comments to you: Mike, a thank-you for β€œBravo,” Steve, a thank you for convincing me to take care of myself & another Hallmark card like the one I sent a few days ago, and Angela, a reply to your brilliant post containing 16 β€œp’s.” I’ll post all that when my honey-honey feels better.
FYI: We have an apt on Tues at 7:30 a.m. for catheter-bag removal & biopsy report.

  8. Hi Lelia. Thank you. Sending all good thoughts and prayers to you and Jerry. Be well and good luck on Tuesday. πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™‹πŸ»

  9. The grammar & spelling errors in this puzzle are troubling &, actually, disappointing. I solved it easily but am concerned about the sloppy journalism I had to wade through to get to the end. I love doing the Jumble puzzle but you need to do a much better job regarding editing your final entry. (From a retired English/Journalism Instructor.)

      • Glass houses….. What are you doing up at 3:30 in the morning? πŸ˜‰πŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Assuming, (and I have no fear using that word), that your post refers to my entry here, please note that it has nothing to do with “this puzzle”. The “puzzle” consists of the four words and the solution printed at the opening of the page. That’s the puzzle, period. That being said, there’s really no reason for anyone to “wade through” anything further. Anything else written after the main posting is purely for entertainment. It seems you’re either missing the point, or choosing to ignore it. This isn’t journalism; nor was it ever intended to be. This isn’t even “sloppy journalism”, for that matter. This is tongue in cheek satire. This is making use of puns to the extent that it elicits groans from its readers. This is FUN. And in light of the fear and sadness and ugliness that surrounds our world today, one would think that it might be welcomed. Obviously, not in your case. I have no problem being critiqued; be assured of that. But I do have a problem with being sullied. Thank God, this is still America as we know it, and you’re free to post anything you’d like. As am I. You’re also not forced to read anything here, that’s a choice you made. And, I’d be interested to know what grammar and spelling errors you feel I “troubled” you with. Please, let me know. It’s nice to see that you love doing the Jumble. That rings true for all of us who visit here. But the key phrase is “doing the Jumble”, not attempting to conduct Journalism 101. I took it, I passed, I have my degree. The world keeps turning, for now at least. Sorry to “disappoint” you, but I haven’t written my final entry yet.
      Enjoy your day. πŸ™‹πŸ»
