HHCNU – HUNCH

HRTTU – TRUTH

ENGLED- LEGEND

AINAGU – IGUANA

CARTOON ANSWER:  HOW DO THEY SAY HELLO IN THE ALPS?

HHTRHEEIG  – – –  “HIGH” THERE

Bonjour, Everyone!  THE ALPS!   STEP right UP…!!

🎶”YODEL-AY-HEE-HOO…”🎶…That’s it, just a simple little YODEL this morning. Set the mood….I mean, we all know Yodeling is a cry for ALP, right? And that’s where we are today, HIGH up THERE in the ALPS! IGUANA say something right from the start…TRUTH be told, I’m no fan of mountain climbing. Between the Vertigo, No desire to go…(and the shoes), it’s just not something I’ve EVEREST SPIREd to. BUTTE, hey, that’s just my oPINion, (Although I have a HUNCH some of you out there may share my feelings). Don’t get me wrong. I like the Mountains: the beauty, the majesty, the whole LEGEND..(wait for it..) ARY aspect of them…BUTTE again, it’s just my ALTITUDE that if God wanted me to CLIMB mountains, He’d have COMPASSated in another way. You know, made me a little BOULDER. And KNOT so CRESTless, and a lot less ROUGH around the EDGES! HA…! ARETE, let’s not BELAY this any longer…Our puzzle: No new words today, IGUANA believe you remember CEILING them before. ASCENTially, easy enough, right? Our cartoon: Two couples, meeting and “Greeting”, devil may CAIRN, at the top of the French Alps. (I say “French” Alps, because one guy’s sPEAKing French). Little clues…”view from ‘here’..”, “say hello”…So, STEEPing with the theme…”HIGH” THERE! Another PUNctuation solve! CHIMNEY! We’ve seen a lot of these lately, right? GRANITE, no JUGgernaut here, but CHALK it UP to the Jumble boys knowing we like the little HOOK! Ok, the eye candy. Today I’m going with what I don’t SCREE. Where’s the French guys TREKking pole? WATERs he kidding? The CRUX of the matter is how’d he SCALE the mountain without one? He really BETA get a GRIP on things!
Ok, Folks, I’ve CRAGged this out long enough today. To SUMMIT UP, I’ll say…Let’s KNOT SLACK off…Let’s set our SIGHTS a little HIGHER…
And always, always…ROCK ON! Enjoy your day! ⛰⛏ 🙋🏻

    • Good morning, Moose, Yes it is! How’re you doing? How’d you like today’s puzzle? 🙋🏻

        • Yea, Iguana you don’t see every day. I’m doing well, thank you. Every morning after Judge hits a homer is a good one for me! You know I love my Mets, but you can’t get blood from a stone! 🙋🏻

    • Moose, How ’bout that Judge? #34 last night! 16 more and he holds the all time rookie record! LIFE is beautiful!….⚾️🙋🏻

      • Hopefully DaJudge is out of his slump. He may do it. Yes, Angela, LIFE is beautiful. Have a great day.

  1. When he saw the IGUANA staring at him, he had a HUNCH that there might be some TRUTH in the LEGEND that the spirits of the dead live on in the animals around us.
Easy solve today and when I saw all those “haitches” was well on the climb to solution. You reached the acme today Angela with your puns I can only add that I missed a reference to “The Night of the Iguana.”
Gorgeous up here and we have had four days with no rain!🌞🚴 ⚾️. An homage to your love of baseball👍

  2. Good morning, Earl. Those H’s were HALL over the place, right? You have soared to all new HEIGHTS with your sentence today! Your imagination FLOORs me! (No pun intended)! And I truly appreciate your compliment, as well as “climb” and “acme”! (They didn’t get PASSed me)! “Night of the Iguana” did ‘slither’ by me this morning, but after I went with, “I guana” say something”, I figured I already SCALEd that one! LIZ-ARD let live! 😂
Beautiful here also, I hope you enjoy the day! ☀️🙋🏻

  3. Good morning. Belated HAPPY BiIRTHDAY to Lelia and a quick recovery for Jerry. Can only hope that time does heal all wounds for him. Now back to the puzzle at hand. Today’s jumble was an easy solve with iguana taking a couple of extra minutes. After looking at all those letters it was a quick read. There is nothing more spiritual than being on a high mountain top at night surrounded by snow with the stars fully out. The sight is breath taking and so peaceful. You do feel closer to God. There are so many great wonders out there. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good morning, Paul. Beautifully descriptive sentiment on mountains. Glad you shared. Have a great day! 🙋🏻

      • By the way Angela ,years ago I would never never watch or listen to the Yankees. Especially when the dodgers were still here. But, when the Mets were so bad it was nice listening to the Yankees on radio in the car especially when they were st their peak. WFAN morning guys say you can’t like two different teams but they are wrong. When they play the Mets naturally I root for them The Mets I’m sorry to say is boring. At least with the Yanks there is excitement

        • Hey Paul. I was raised a Mets fan. My Father was a Brooklyn Dodger fan, and waited patiently for the Mets to come. Yankees were strictly taboo! I think you can appreciate two different teams. And probably like them also. But rooting for two is a tough call, you know? Sadly, the Mets keep breaking my heart, but I’m still a Mets fan. Thing is, this year with Aaron Judge…what can I say? He’s brought the excitement back to Baseball. So what I do is record the Yankee games…then I just fast forward and only watch when he’s at the plate! (And then I go to Mass and ask for forgiveness)! Some habits die hard!…LOL.. Hope you’re enjoying your day! ⚾️🙋🏻

  4. No problem with clue words, however, answer tripped me. I saw the word “greet” and with three h’s and an i left for a four letter word; threw in the towel. Not usually a quitter but have a busy day. Have a terrific Tuesday! !🌞

    • Hey Sue. I think once we get a word stuck in our head, it’s so much harder to get back on track, right? And, those H’s were lethal! Enjoy your day, see you t’row! 🙋🏻

  5. I’m a rare one. I like both the Yanks, and RedSox. When they play each other, then it’s the Yanks.

    • Hey Moose,Yes,you surely are! Yanks and Red Sox? Be still my heart! You may be a first! I remember telling Mike that I was probably 10 or 11 before I realized that Red-Sox-Sucks wasn’t all one word! ROTFL….(Can I say that? Too late)! I never strayed before this year, this is all new unexplored territory for me, watching the Yankees! And one of my brothers is extremely upset with me! Seriously! I told him, “Shake it off…it’s just because of Judge”! He called me a disgrace! LOL..”Gotta love Sports, and the emotion it wroughts”, right? 😉 ⚾️🙋🏻

  6. Stand up to your Brother. Tell him that you’re a total Yankee fan. That will really rock him.

    • Moose, he’s my brother! My big brother! Want me to kill the poor guy? I love him, ❤️ despite his intolerance! 😉🙋🏻

        • LOL…That’s how it all started! Got a Judge jersey, didnt think he’d show up at a family thing…The jig was up! BUSTED! Persona non grata! Now I check with his wife before I get dressed! LOL…😅😅🙋🏻

  7. Hi, all! Jerry read the cartoon question to me as I was waking up, and I immediately said, “High, there!” I solved first 3 words with him telling me the letters as I ate breakfast (which is rare for me because I am visual not auditory) but had to self-jumble IGUANA on my napkin. I’m thinking that someone commented recently about our having animals/insects/birds a lot lately & Steve replying that it’s that time of year, so thank goodness for the IGUANA. LOL
Thank you again for Happy Birthday wishes including Carolyn yesterday and Paul today. Paul, I just received one on the phone. Just one more to go from the youngest granddaughter.

    • You’re very welcom, Lelia! It was a really fun puzzle. Iguana bit a lot of people today! Glad you both got to enjoy your Birthday, and best wishes for many, many more!
      Enjoy your day! 🌞🙋🏻

  8. HI, Steve!! Thanks for my 2 dancing songs on my birthday, Beatles & Joni. I immediately asked Jerry if I could have this dance, which he declined as usual because of not liking to dance, but he smiled as I danced & laughed while asking.
Yesterday I enjoyed your new word BONKER instead of “broken” so from now on rather than being mad, nuts, crazy, bewitched, bothered, or bewildered, I am going to be “BONKER.” LOL

    • Yet another thing Jerry and I have in common! Are you *sure* he’s not a long lost relative? You’ll have to do the dancing for both of us. Here’s one more:

🎵 “Bring her boots of leather, she will dance for him.
Shyly from a feather fan, she’ll glance at him.” 🎵

Jerry Garcia would have turned 75 today. The SF Giants have their annual Grateful Dead Appreciation day this Thursday.

      Till tomorrow.

    • Probably better to be BONKER than this:

      “I’m wild again
      Beguiled again
      A simpering, whimpering child again
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I”

      • Steve, I liked most of the songs in that Pal Joey movie, but both women had someone else singing for them.

  9. Hi all –
I’ll stay right here near sea level, thanks.
Seems like when there’s an I and a G, it’s GUITAR or IGUANA.

    • Hey Sports Fan, There you are! Or Gigolo! I thought you got caught up in that last minute trading frenzy…! Sea level! LOL. Been sailing all day…ABOVE the boat….🙋🏻

      • I actually meant G and U, not ‘I’. How about if I just use these three letters – DUH. Left a message on IOW. 🙋🏻‍♂️

        • 6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other….GI, GU… But, DUH? Iguaduh? No, it doesn’t look right! 😅🎶

          • 😂😂 Iguaduh? That ain’t right, but it does remind me of Warriors player Andre Iguodala! And I did spend a little time in Yelapa Mexico when it was only accessible by boat, where they filmed Night of the Iguodala — I mean IGUANA! 🙋🏻‍♂️

      • Hope you meant above the water, not above the boat! 😂
You’d need a parasail(?) but I don’t think either of us would like that.

        • Above the water ON the boat? You know what I meant! 😅 Parasail? Do you know how tight you have to hold on? Do you know what that does to a manicure? ROTFL….🙋🏻
