TRTSRETESAM – STREET SMART
Mike, ๐ฎ๐น This one’s for you….๐ฎ๐น
Buongiorno, a Tutti! Good morning, Everyone!
๐ฎ๐น Italy! ๐ฎ๐น The beauty, the romance, the culture! Today’s cartoon giving us (what I’m presuming to be) David and his wife, Claire in Florence, Italy…Using their phones’ GPS maps to direct them to Via Ricasoli, and the Galleria dell’Accademia, home of Michelangelo’s masterpiece, David. Today’s SMART phones are amazing, right? Locate the STREET you’re looking for and Voila! Or should I say “Ecco”! …Directions at your fingertips! This cartoon couldn’t be more descriptive. Kudos, Jeff! Complimenti per il lavoro svolto! What more can I say?
Today’s words: Easy, breezy, no surprises. Most likely the letters weren’t even needed for the solve. Definitely a great combination of the words and the “music”!… Music? You’d think I’d have some music, right? Or some puns? And yet, Niente! The eye candy? The Cupola del Brunelleschi (the dome) in the background. If you enhance the picture you can even make out the tiny little people. Great detail. So…Where’s the humor? Where’s the wit? This is soooo not good!… Too bad they weren’t already at the art museum, viewing the statue of David. Now THAT we could have had some fun with!
Arrivederci, ๐ฎ๐น Florence! Until we meet again….
Have a great day, Everyone! ๐๐ป
The Bears were EXCITED when the SALMON run entered their TRACT of the park and were SORRY when the spawn was done.

Salmon gave me pause, I think because of the silent letter–otherwise it was easy today.

Buongiorno, Conte! (Earl in Italian)! Great imagery! I bought salmon last night for a cioppino I’m making today…so it was a chuckle word! Music? Nothing fit! I’m soooo disillusioned! ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ป

This puzzle is so true. We visited Florence in June. Street names change almost every block.Someone had too much chianti when laying out that city.

Hey Ron. Mamma VIA!!!
They were the first city in Europe to pave all its streets, so….
I guess every one of those masons wanted some credit!
And, oh yeah, the wine….๐ฎ๐น๐๐ป

Hi, Mike et al! TRACT, SORRY, & EXCITE, 25 seconds. That slippery SALMON refused to be caught for more than 3 minutes, but playing them on the line is the fun in fishing before reeling them in so it was a fun catch.
We are leaving for the day so I look forward to โseeingโ all of you tomorrow.
Have a fun Friday!!

Hi Lelia – As you head off into your 114ยฐ day, I wonder why these lyrics I ran across made me think of you? ๐
๐ต”There’s mosquitoes on the river. Fish are rising up like birds.
It’s been hot for seven weeks now,
Too hot to even speak now, Did you hear what I just heard?” ๐ต
.. but there’s hope for relief:
๐ต “Well the cool breeze came on Tuesday,
And the corn’s a bumper crop
And the fields are full of dancin’, Full of singin’ and romancin’
The music never stopped.” ๐ต Grateful Dead
And when you described your hike with a rifle, I pictured Jerry with a Fess Parker/Davey Crockett coonskin cap, or maybe as Daniel Boone leading his family through the Cumberland Gap. Maybe he said hi to Sue on the trip (Jerry, not Daniel Boone!)

“The beauty, the romance, the culture”? How could you miss mentioning the FOOD! ?
Speaking of which, SALMON was a slight pause, and I did need the letters for the answer because I was hung up on it being GUIDE or GUIDED. So to answer your rhetorical question, Paul, Yes, it *could* have been easier! ๐๐

OMG! Good call! And I’m such a foodie! Maybe because I did it late this morning, after breakfast! Already passed the food fix! Guide? Did you SEE a G? Were you thinking like a Brooklynite and saying ” EGGcited”?? ๐๐๐ป

No, I just thought GUIDE, but since I couldn’t spot a G in the letters, I knew it couldn’t be right.
By the way, today is 7/7? Good luck today, everybody!
