Happy Wednesday everyone!  Stellar clue words this morning with the first two coming instantly while the last two gave me some time to think.  COGNAC by far was the most difficult for me to decipher and I had to use my pen and notepad to get the job done.  Eleven self-jumbles later, I arrived at the solution and was truly surprised that it put up such a fight.  With it completed and out of the way, I started on NIMBLE which ended up only taking a few extra glances before coming to me.  Moving along to the cartoon, it’s off to Chicago we go where we meet a delightful couple relaxing on their couch while watching television.  At first I thought the male half was Jumble artist Jeff Knurek, however; the lack of a Wilco shirt leads me to believe it was someone else.  The beautiful Chicago skyline can be seen through the window in the background with the Willis (Sears) Tower visible.  Reading the dialogue, I was excited that there was a mention of Seinfeld as it was and probably always will be my favorite television show.  I knew which episode they were watching instantly by the reference to a “Bro” and it is also one of my favorite episodes.  If you’re wondering what a Bro is, think of it as a male version of a female undergarment that is also three letters!  The cartoon answer came quickly as it was only 6-letters and very obvious.  Did you notice the large “J” on the back of the TV?  A great detail that I almost missed as I was trying to figure out how I was going to delicately explain what a Bro was.  I’ll be off on a trip for the next couple of days so I’ll post the answers as soon as I get a chance.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and I’ll see you soon!  πŸ˜€

  1. Good morning! Great job! I CHANNELed it differently. ..I’ll be right back, after these words from our sponsors….πŸ“ΊπŸ™‹πŸ»

  2. 🎢”Because you know, I’m all about that Bass, ’bout that bass…no treble..”🎢
Seinfeld, “The Show About NOTHING..” With that now iconic theme song. The finger snaps, the clicks, the pops, and all that funky Bass. And if you listened closely, the subtle nuances with different episodes. (Yes, there were). Perfectly PROGRAMmed for the grit and noise of the Upper West Side. And then you go find out, there was no “Bass”, it was a synthesizer! And the sounds were all “mouthed” by the composer! Huh? So now what..? “The Song About NOTHING…”? Was I JERRYmandered? Was it all a smokeSCREEN? Please, PUTty my mind at ease..Say it ain’t so, Joe”..or Jerry! Alas, I DOUSEd my sorrows in a COGNAC COSMOpolitan. (And NIMBLE, I got NOTHING)! (Alas?)…Since I’m already at the cartoon, I’ll SETTEE-L it. The guy looks like Jeff, so I’ll go with the Salesforce Tower in the skyline, with one antenna for TV, and the other for NOTHING! (Do we see a theme here…)? The wedding PICTURE, cute touch. Is that a J on the TV? For Jeff? But the eye candy for me? That tiny window latch. By GEORGE, what minute detail! And as for the solve, SITting on the couch, watching a COMedy! Easily explELAINEd! The words were all RERUNS. Easy as NBC! BROke into a grin at Cognac. (Wasn’t it 9, 10 days ago, that Earl and Steve couldn’t get on that Conga line with Cognac clouding their (tele)VISION)?
So, great puzzle, great cartoon, great episode. The doorman, Sid Farkus, the mansiere, Estelle, Poppy and the COUCH, Mr. Pitt…”The Show About NOTHING”? FRANKly, No. “Must See TV”!
    Anyone for 🎢”Cha, Cha, Cha”🎢? πŸ“ΊπŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Good morning! Tks! Good one, but I just couldn’t resist, like the moth to the flame! I’m like who thinks to draw the latch? And you know..🎢”Little Things Mean A lot”🎢….🏒 πŸ™‹πŸ»

  3. Good morning. The only word that gave me trouble was cognac. Took forever but,the cartoon answer was an instant read. One of the better half hour show. Looked forward to seeing it every week as well as Mash. Till tomorrow stay well.

  4. Figured out the answer to the cartoon right away. No problem with the clue words with the exception of cognac. That took paper, pencil and lots of scrambling. Have a good Wednesday everyone.

  5. Good sir and Madame, I believe you are both mistaken about the Chicago skyline building. From the tapering sides, it is almost certainly the John Hancock Center on Northside. It was almost right outside my balcony when I lived on the 36th floor at the corner of Clark and North (C’mon Jeff, tell me I’m right!).

I almost never saw Seinfeld, although Angela knows that from our reading, some of THE REST OF US are MASTERS of the SPECTACULAR writing in the series.

    • By the way, you two, in regards to “Bro”, “This is a family friendly blog”, so “play nice”.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘

    • Good morning, Steve. I didn’t go with a Chicago location. (Find one of my comments y’day about reading, Et tu, Steve…)! LOL. I thought the cartoon to be the Indianapolis skyline, and the Salesforce Tower. HAPPY FESTIVUS!…And, yes, I do try my best to be SPECTACULAR at playing MASTER! LOL…πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Ok, now I understand. I was wondering why I couldn’t find a Salesforce tower in Chicago. You didn’t say Indy, and since Jeff has referenced Chicago so often with the Cubs, Wilco and all, I just assumed it. Not a problem of lack of attention, just lack of understanding! πŸ˜‰

  6. LOL…Dave lives in Chicago, no? I figured if that’s Jeff, he already knows where he lives. And it’s not a problem…just a concern! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
