Good Saturday morning everyone! Today’s puzzle was a super simple solve more suitable for a Monday. MACAW was the most difficult word for me to decipher today, but it only took an extra second or two before it came to me. The cartoon answer was a piece of cake after writing out the clue letters and the letter layout kept the solution well hidden for being only 7-letters. The cartoon was great as usual, but something struck me as “not looking right”. The location of the spool of thread on the sewing machine is typically on the far right side of the machine and not directly above the needle. Only a minor detail that didn’t make a bit of difference in the final solve. Not much else to say about this one sew I’ll keep it short and sweet. Enjoy your day and I’ll see you tomorrow! 🤗

The remaining three words are all repeats, no new MATERIAL there! FABRIC-adabra, I’m done! An easy, breezy run through all four!
On to the cartoon: Isn’t this just as cute as a BUTTON? Young girl SEAMingly ready to embark on a career that’s always on the CUTTING edge. And, she’s not SPOOLing around! Approaching it with no THREADpidatiin at all. It’s great how the young don’t COTTON to being aFRAYed, they just PRESS on, the way it should BEE. And with a good education, she could be the REEL thing! The puzzle answer: She’s SEWing, she “made ALL of this”, Jeff CUSHIONed have made it simpler! EYE candy today? I had a hard time PINpointing it, but decided to give it to that cute little SEWing machine. I don’t sew, but something about it just looks off. Maybe that’s why she’s sewing by hand! And the T shirt was a CLOTHES second.
Life can be a series of ZIG ZAG PATTERNS. And we all NEEDLE little help from our friends at times. We may be DARNED if we do, and DARNED if we don’t, but laughter SHEARly beats crying. And I intend to leave ’em in STITCHES! 👚👗 🙋🏻

While traveling on the cruise ship, “EQUITY”, the tourist from Brooklyn bought a MACAW while anchored in Mombasa HARBOR and a silk SCARF in Colombo, Sri Lanka,”much” to the dismay of her “so” frugal cabin mate.

I did not identify Mombassa’s location in the sentence, it didn’t seem to fit. It’s in Kenya, on the Indian Ocean and on some cruise ships’ route to Asia.

Spot on, but my first thought was, “Get that poor girl a sewing table.” It’s going to be awfully hard maneuvering sheets of fabric through the machine while it’s sitting on the floor.

Watched my grandmother while she sewed on her SINGER; I was BOBBIN around her all the time. Wonderful tins FULL of every kind of button imaginable!
The spool placement? Really? But, the four fingers never seem to catch anyone’s eyes. That is my daughter’s room. She heads off to the University of Cincinnati in a few months to study fashion design. We’re sew excited for her.
