CARTOON ANSWER:

THE RABBIT WAS DIRTY AFTER DIGGING IN THE GARDEN AND NEEDED TO —

HIHOSPNREOW = HOP IN (THE) SHOWER

Good Monday morning everyone and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun!  No trouble with the clue words this morning but I did notice FLOSS was an abecedarian word (google it!) and I haven’t noticed David using one in quite some time.  Moving along to the cartoon, I figured I’d try to solve it without the help of the clue letters seeing as it’s a Monday puzzle and they tend to be easier.  Noticing that the rabbit was hopping in the rain as well as THE being given to us, I came up with the answer in seconds.  I was surprised that Jeff and David didn’t give us a baseball themed puzzle as today is opening day of the season.  Their Cubs don’t play their home opener until April 10th so perhaps we’ll see one then.  I hope there aren’t any April showers in your neck of the woods and if anyone is lucky enough to be going to their team’s opener, please let us know and have a great time.  Oh and don’t forget that Josh, the grandson of Lelia on our forum, is performing on The Voice tonight and we wish him the best of luck!  And no, I didn’t forget that Gonzaga and N. Carolina battle tonight for the NCAA Championship.  I have no horse in that race so best of luck to both teams.  I think that about covers it so I’ll see you tomorrow!  😀⚾️

  1. Good morning, Mike, good morning everyone. Easy, breezy once again. Enjoyed your “ABeCeDarian” reference!
So, no April Fools nor opening day puzzles this year . What’s happening? Bizarro world! Yes, my beloved Mets are opening today…(A true Met fan knows well the weeping and gnashing of teeth..but we soldier on)! Looking forward to The Voice tonight. I had never watched the show before, but I’ll follow it now. Happy Monday, Monday to everyone. 🙋🏻

      • Thanks Mike, you too! Wanted to tell you, for some reason, I can’t “like” any comment. I appreciate that you “like” the comments. When I try, it tells me to open an account. Has this happened to anyone else? ⚾️ 🙋🏻

        • I was wondering why nobody liked my posts. I wonder what signing up for an account means? I would have thought that you would have had to sign up to be able to comment on posts. Hmmm…. I was thinking about going PRO, as the wordpress website calls it, to get rid of the ads. It’s $3/month but I’m too cheap! 😂

          • Mike, I thought you might be.thinking that. And as I told you before, your comments are so on point! Witty! When it directs me to the account page it asks for setting up a blog, or a site, etc. Huh? You can post without the account, but what I do have to do every day is “manage the subscription'” in order to be notified of someone’ else’s post. I thought it’s because I’m not using a desk or lap top. IDK. But at least I’m not the only one. So, rest assured I like your posts! LOL. 🙋🏻 👍🏻

        • And after I typed that reply to you, WordPress informed me that today is the three year anniversary of me starting this blog. Thank you to the 2,008,938 visitors that joined me for the ride. The real thanks goes to David and Jeff for all of their hard work. Thank you gentlemen! To many more years of Jumble fun!!! 😀

    • Angela, thank you for asking about the “like” option, I thought I was doing something incorecctly.

  2. Good morning. Another nice Monday to start us off on the right foot. No problem with the puzzle today. The hint for us I think was the rain coming down. Thanks again for getting me to “look” at the whole picture for possible clues to the answer. Good luck to you grandson tonight,. I will record it for later Stay well.

  3. I would have liked to seen “April showers” as part of the jumble puzzle, Don

  4. Mike, easy solve today, enjoyed it while it lasted. Thank you for your warm words last p.m. for my feeling better and reminding me of what fun it will be tonight listening for Josh. I am going to watch the whole 2 hours so I will have a big pot of chili on the stove with Fritos, shredded cheese, & chopped onions close by. There is a Joshua as well as my Josh (who is actually Joshua, too) so I am going to go ahead and say my blurb. Have a great day and see you tomorrow.

    • Your welcome, Lelia and all my best for his success tonight and beyond! The chili sounds wonderful as well. I’m making steak tips and double stuffed potatoes for the game! I hope you’re feeling much better. 😊⚾️

  5. Mike et all tune in to The Voice tonight, Monday, April 3, and watch for our long-haired grandson, Josh West, to compete in the Knock-Out Round. Thanks.

    • What an AMAZING performance by your grandson, Lelia! Josh really “kicked” it up a notch and his on stage presence was perfect. I don’t recall any of the judges saying even one negative comment about his performance so I knew he had it in the bag. I look forward to the live performances and tell him congratulations!!! You and your family must be soooooo proud of him! 😀👍🏻

  6. Rita, I remember what you asked last week about finding The Voice, so I asked my husband and he said for me to tell you that the national channel we watch The Voice on is NBC. Our local channel is 12, but he thinks that will not help, just the NBC. Good luck and thanks again for trying.

  7. thanks Lelia, and of course now I remember it was NBC – puzzle was easy, and I can’t just do ‘like’ either, Finally – GO RANGERS!!!!

  8. No problem with the puzzle today. I enjoy doing them but I also like to read everyone’s comments. It seems when we do have a problem with the puzzle that the same word stumps us all. Not today however. Enjoy your. Monday.

    • A nice Monday Solve, Marlene! The site is getting more than usual traffic today for some reason. It might be people searching for last weeks answers or answers fir the Jumble app. Take care! 😀⚾️

  9. Yes, baseball season is upon us, Go Mariners, but today nothing beats watching the Gonzaga Bulldogs going for it all! Is it 6:20, yet!?

Of course, Lelia, good luck to your grandson tonight, too! Must be tough on families having a member in one of these reality shows. Keeping secrets is a heavy burden!

  10. Good Monday Morning, everyone! An easy puzzle today, thanks. Rain and high winds are on the way in my area. Will have to close down the patio umbrella..and sequester the cats. Looking forward to seeing Josh tonight! All the best!

    • Good Monday morning, Susan. That weather forecast will be mine trow. Since it’s the Met opener today, we were spared. I always knew God was a Met fan! ( And, before anyone says it, yes, we may lose a lot, but that’s just doing penance)! LOL. Happy Baseball ⚾️ Monday to us all! 🙋🏻

      • This household is also Met fans. Debating whether to watch the Mets game or go play bocce. It’s beautiful here, tomorrow is rain. I can always catch the game later. Just made up my mind. Guess it’s off to meet the old folks. I too made (turkey) chili. We cut back quite a bit on red meat.

        • Hey Paul, a fellow Met fan. Die hard National League family here. No Yankees for us. Growing up, my Father wouldn’t even let us eat Yankee Doodles! We had to do Devil Dogs! LOL…(funny, but true)! Love bocce, one of my brothers has a court on his property. Enjoy your game, good luck. 🙋🏻

  11. Hey, Mike. Opening day was yesterday (Sunday), and the Cubs even played last night. Although since I was watching the Giants, I’d rather forget it — TWO blown saves again, in the first game!

I have also tried to “like” posts, but I don’t want to set up an account.

    • I may have mashed my words and I apologize. Now that the like “issue” has been brought to my attention, I’ll send them an email to see if they might change it. Enjoy the day!

  12. Easy puzzle this morning. Always nice to start off the week on a good note. Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary, Mike. I only discovered you a few months ago but wish it had been sooner as I have been a Jumble Addict for years and enjoy your and everyone’s comments. Good luck to Josh tonight. I had never seen “The Voice” before. There’s no danger anyone in our family will be competing on such a show as we only sing in the shower (April as well as all the other months). I’m a Giants fan but tonight I’m concentrating on Gonzaga. Have a good day everyone.

  13. Meadow gave me problems, however, finally got it. I will record The Voice tonight and will be pulling for Lelia’s Josh and he has an excellent chance of winning. I plan on watching the championship game tonight and think I will pull for Gonzaga ; I am a Big Blue fan and maybe next year. BTW, if I try to like a post, I too, get the sign up for World Press message and if I try to sign up, it says I have an account. If I do, I don’t recall signing up for one. That said, I do enjoy all the posts and would like them if World Press allowed me to do so. Time for my CT scan; everyone stay safe and have a great day! 🙂

  14. I can never see the word Meadow without thinking of the great Joe Walsh song – one of two of his big hits with the James Gang, along with “Walk Away”. There was a great version of Meadow on Youtube of him performing
with members of the Eagles just before joining the group, but I can’t seem to find it now.
Sorry for going “just a Bit” off-topic for a Jumble.

    • Hey Steve, Google, “Joe Walsh, Meadow” , I think you may find what you’re looking for.

  15. Mike, ditto to what others said happened when they tried to “like” your blog. Planned to tell you when I felt better, glad you know now. A very Happy Third Anniversary to you!!!

  16. Steve, Thanks for the information about the animation video. It was very interesting.

  17. My son thanks you for your compliment, Lelia. He, too, is still laughing. Well, it’s time for me to unlock the shed out back and let him out for his daily hour of sunlight. This will continue until he stops laughing. 😳

  18. Since it’s the Red Sox opening day (and they won!), I’ll share this with you, Mike.
At some point, I realized that my father was the quintessential Sox fan in one sense:
The Sox won the World Series in 1918. My father was born in 1920 in Fall River, Mass, lived his
whole life in New England (mostly Providence), and died in the mid ’90’s — yup, never got to
see his team win the Series. The wild-card rule came too late for him!
Curse you Bill Buckner and Bucky Dent! 🙂
Meanwhile, I moved to Oakland in 1972 and got to see three in a row!

    • Hi Steve! Such was the case for both of my grandfather’s… I feel truly lucky to see the Red Sox win 3 of them (so far!) in my lifetime. I’ve always been a fan of our New England teams even through the title droughts so seeing them win so many in such a relatively short time is nothing short of epic. Thanks for sharing my friend. 😀
