GODUH = DOUGH

THACC = CATCH

ROPURA = UPROAR

MURBEM = BUMMER

CARTOON ANSWER:

WHEN HE CHOSE A STAGE NAME, RICHARD STARKEY CHOSE ONE THAT WASN’T —

DUHURMM = HUMDRUM

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!  UPROAR was the word that caused me to pause for a few extra seconds today but it wasn’t too difficult to decipher.  With all of the clue words solved, it was on to the cartoon.  The Beatles were way before my time, however; I didn’t need to know music history to figure this one out.  I saw DRUM right away leaving me with HUM for a smooth finish and excellent pun.  Have an enjoyable rest of your day and I’ll see you tomorrow!  πŸ˜€πŸ₯

  1. Easy solve today. The Beatles were my era. Remember sitting in senior history class in 63/64 and my teacher commenting on the Beatles long hair and weird clothing. Loved their music.

  2. Good morning. Uproar took close to five minutes to get. It’s amazing how simple words can cause the most trouble. The cartoon answer was a breeze like the last few days. If the Beatles were before your time then your just a “babe in the woods”. Even though they were good I really never liked them because of their marijuana use and preaching free love. A bad influence for the younger people.

  3. Another easy one, waiting for the really hard one to stomp me later this week and my favorite Beatle’s song is ‘Hey Jude’

  4. Good morning! UPROAR took me probably 4 minutes which put me right on schedule with my leisurely solves of five to ten minutes. Busy day today! See you tomorrow

    • Have a great day, Lelia! The kids are on school vacation this week so I have my hands full and my schedule is way off. Be well and enjoy your Wednesday. 😊

  5. Not sure why but we had an entirely different jumble in our paper than any of you did. First time this has ever happened, Guess I am on my own today

  6. I had an easy time of it today. I remember when the Beatles came to San Francisco in the 1960’s they performed at our ballpark then called Candlestick Park. It was a mob scene of screaming teenagers.
