Jumble Answers for 11/29/2016

LEEGA = EAGLE

POMOH = OOMPH

BLINEB = NIBBLE

SPYMIK = SKIMPY

CARTOON ANSWER:

ELEOHNLSP = “SELL” PHONE

Good morning everyone!  Yesterday’s puzzle was a bit trickier than I expected, so let’s see what we have today.  OOMPH was the rotten apple this morning.  I know we’ve seen it recently, but it took a few extra seconds for it to come to me.  The cartoon was excellent as usual and the agent was in the likeness of Ty Burrell from ABC’S Modern Family show.  I haven’t watched it in years and thought it was off the air until I did a quick google search and found out it’s currently in it’s 8th season!  To get the answer I thought of words that describe real estate agents and SELL was what came into view.  PHONE came seconds later for a smooth finish and a stinky pun!  Have a fantastic Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow.  ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. Had trouble w/ Oomph and after I stopped trying to find “sign”, ” sell” popped in my head and I win again!

    • It was tricky. If I didn’t find SELL right out of the gate I would have had a hard time finding my starter word. Have a great rest of your day amigo! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. My very favorite hint or lesson from you about how to do the Jumble is to just keep staring at the letters and don’t give up. That has helped me a lot. Thank you.
    Today I had to stare at and rearrange letters for a very long time before eagle and oomph finally appeared.
    I still have fun doing the Jumble first thing every morning followed by reading how you solved it and your friendly commentary, but I have been hesitant to comment because the direction is to “comment” not “write a book.” Compared to other comments, mine were too long, too often, and too late being two time zones away.
    I enjoyed guest artist week again this year and think it’s a genius way to introduce Jumble fun to other artists and their readers.
    The next week I laughed out loud when I saw the word “icing,” remembering spending all morning on it about 20 years ago when I kept pronouncing it “iking.”
    After Thanksgiving dinner, when I told my family that you brine your turkey before cooking it, we voted you a master chef.
    And so ends another book! I hope you are having a fantastic Tuesday, too.

    • Hi Lelia! I was surprised when I hadn’t heard from you lately and was wondering if all was ok. I understand your hesitancy with the comments, however; feel free to post whatever you’d like to share! Sometimes I write my commentary and wonder if anyone actually reads it so it’s nice to get feedback every now and then. I may not always have a lot of time to respond but rest assured knowing that I read every one. I can tell that you put your heart into each and every response so I thank you. My turkeys sure did come out wonderful though I’m not sure that I’ve earned the master chef title quite yet. I brined one and cooked it in my rotisserie, Oven baked one in a bag and deep fried the third. The winner with my guests was the deep fried bird. It was so juicy and tender that it was difficult to slice! Enjoy the holiday season and all my best! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Loved this Jumble. The first three words came fast and easy. Skimpywas the one that gave me trouble. Even without it I thought of the answer. Thanks for all your help and comments.
