REAPO = OPERA
GODDE = DODGE
KNUHRS = SHRUNK
MAHWRT = WARMTH
CARTOON ANSWER:
OPEADDESHRWRT = SPREAD THE WORD
What a beautiful Saturday morning my friends! There is no better way to start the day than with the Jumble puzzle so let’s get right to the nitty gritty. All of the words appeared new to me, however; I was on a tear this morning and solved the cartoon just by reading the dialogue so no help was needed! I did take time to admire Mr. Knureks’ drawing and what a great piece of art it is. I had difficulty reading the shop name in the window and was hoping someone could fill me in. Marmalade Mary’s?
Well done Clay! When I “blow up” the cartoon online it distorted the image too much to read it. I see it clearly now. ππ»ππ»ππ»
Yes. Marmalade Mary’s.
Good one Clay.
Welcome back Gene. I take it the procedure was a success?! π
Where do I find the actual puzzle??
Hi Ruthanna. Head over to http://www.jumble.com and click “play jumble” at the top of the page. π
looking at it again, I think it might be Marys and not Mary’s . I google “Houston Chronicle Jumble” to get the actual puzzle on my phone or computer.
That’s where I get my puzzle as well! π
I immediately wrote, “Spread the news,” in ink, but when opera was the first word, I quickly changed the last word to “word.”
Warmth gave me pause because our friendly jumbler did his job so well. I smiled when I finally knew the word was warmth because that is what I wished for you and your family in my comments yesterday.
Again, stay warm in your cold neck of the woods and have fun. I am supposed to be getting ready to accompany my husband to his Arizona Prospector’s Association annual potluck. I made brownies covered with pecans.
Kudos to Clay. I got Marmalade, but Mary’s was making me blind under the magnifying glass so I gave up.
Thank you for your “warm” and friendly response to my Friday comments.
Hello Lelia! Those brownies do sound delicious. I use to watch a show on the Outdoor Channel that featured gold prospecting. I believe it was called Prospecting America and it always intrigued me. Maybe some day I’ll try my hand at panning for gold. It’s very cold again today, but in a good way. It wouldn’t be fall for me if there wasn’t a nip in the air and the wind wasn’t blowing. Enjoy the potluck and the warm sunshine. βοΈοΈ
